Do I seriously have a password limit in 1Password? 20k? 30k? 40k? 50k? Or is this product meant for people with ~100 logins? I added a lot of items and now the app won’t even launch on my iPad - it just crashes. On iPhone it often won’t open on the first try and takes forever to start. Macbook still works, but sometimes I see it eating tons of resources. Any comment, @1Password? I’m not emailing support - I want a public answer. Thanks.

Search on X has become just awful - it’s impossible to find anything! Nikita @nikitabier, please stop changing this algorithm already. I just want to read the feed of people I’m subscribed to nothing more. You’ve already broken and removed the X app for macOS, and in the latest version of Safari it’s impossible to use because there’s a memory leak and everything either starts freezing or turns into a white screen. Since I spend a lot of time at the computer, I’d really like to read X on it rather than on mobile devices.

🇨🇳 You probably already heard this but interesting story in the context of what I was talking about American iRobot filed for bankruptcy and is now owned by the Chinese company that actually produced their products, called Shenzhen PICEA Shenzhen PICEA did something very smart, they bought up a lot of the debt that iRobot had and couldn't pay and through that managed to get full ownership of iRobot when it went bankrupt It's another story of the Chinese manufacturer acquiring their Western brand A similar story happened with Segway in 2015, where the Chinese company that cloned them called Ninebot managed to acquire the original they cloned, Segway I don't know what the strategy here is but I think it's to own the Western brand name iRobot and Roomba which still has a lot of brand awareness worldwide (as the original inventor of the vacuum robot) and gives the Chinese legitimacy

I made $0 from BoltAI v2 so far 😁 A few months ago, I decided to rebuild the product. It was at the stage where it’s hard to make any meaningful change. It would be impossible to fulfill my product vision with the old codebase. New users were churning because of performance issues. I figured it might actually be faster to build a new app with a stronger foundation, and then port features from v1 to v2. I initially didn’t want to rewrite. That’s usually not a good decision for a product that is already working. (Read “Things You Should Never Do, Part I” by Joel Spolsky) I attempted to refactor smaller parts but it didn’t work. It just made the codebase more complex, and even harder to maintain. (skill issue, yeah) I made a bet that a rewrite would not take a lot of time, and once it’s ready I could win back those customers. It ended up taking 3+ months. Fast forward to today, the new app is ready. It probably has 95% feature parity with v1 now. It’s faster, smarter and looks better. Both existing customers and new users love it. But none of that matters if it doesn’t improve growth. I didn’t enable monetization until now. November is going to be the moment of truth. It’s either a genius decision or the dumbest one. #buildinpublic folks, follow along 😁
