92 5/8 + 1 1/2 bottom plate + 3 top plate and tie, here’s where it gets tricky -5/8 ceiling sheetrock, -1/2 finished floor gives you a finished 8’ ceiling. This must be a joke. You cannot spent a day as a framer and not know this. This started well before my time and I started framing houses in mid-eighties.

🚨 Home Depot, What The Hell Is This?! 🛑 Has anyone ever heard of this before? This guy’s been building for 37 years. Lumber comes in standard lengths: 8 ft = 96 inches. That’s always been the deal. Period. So why the hell is Home Depot selling “2x4s” that are only 92 ⅝ inches long? He bought 40 of them for an 8x8 shed build. Floor’s in, everything framed… then NOTHING lined up. Everything’s short. All his measurements are off. The plywood doesn’t fit. The whole project is jacked. He even started second-guessing himself — like maybe he was crazy and always assumed 2x4s were 96". But nope. These “studs” are short, and they don’t tell you unless you look close. And they’re not even cheaper — they cost more than the 8 ft ones! This mistake cost him time, money, and materials. So here’s the question: When did this start? WHY is Home Depot doing this? And how many other people have gotten screwed by this? 📢 Builders, contractors, DIY folks — sound off. Have you ever been hit with this or is this guy just crazy?

Since we’re making rules up apparently -shifts are like time outs. You can have them and can go whenever you want but you only get 5 per game. -throw overs the same. 10 per game (if you pick someone off you get 2 bonus throw overs) -pitching coaches no longer can make trips.
