@justintrimble They’ve been failing already, what are you talking about? So NFTs are down. And it’s because they’re not taking risks with NFTs, and instead trying to constantly pivot to copy everyone else instead.

If OpenSea fails that'd be an incredibly bad thing for anyone who legitimately cares about NFTs in any form. When you take risks in unexplored fields you're going to make mistakes. Starting a small company & building it into something really big require very different skills.

an update on $SEA. the team has been building at full speed, and the foundation had planned to kick off the first steps as part of our march 30th event. but @openseafdn is pushing back the timeline. a delay is a delay. i’m not going to dress it up, and i know how it lands. the reality is that market conditions are challenging across crypto right now, and $SEA only launches once. @openseafdn could force the original date, or we could ensure every piece is in place and make this moment what this community deserves. we gave a tremendous amount of thought to how to do right here. When it comes to vintage PSA 9 to PSA 10 price difference, I'd rather own 10-20 PSA 9s over a single 10. Take this Lugia for example, listed for $15k as a 10 or buy a 9 for about $1000 Card is almost exactly the same, some 9s and 10s are interchangeable based on who graded it that day Owning multiple 9s gives you the flexibility to sell some if you want vs letting go of your only 10. Now if a 9 is $1000 and a 10 is 2-3x more expensive, sure maybe get the 10 but I see a lot of 10s going for 10-50x the 9s price while both supplies are stupid low

Ethereum is on a trajectory to become the Netscape of crypto. Historically foundational with its invention of the EVM, as Netscape did with JavaScript/SSL. Unfortunately destined for irrelevance due to an inability to focus on what matters. Just as Netscape wasted time on a rewrite from version 4 to 6 at a time when Microsoft was absolutely killing them, the EF insists on focusing on cypherpunk values at a pivotal time when the institutions are finally coming onchain - often to other networks. An EF determined to win would focus on how to make Ethereum the best chain for finance. That’s not what it’s doing today.
