You know, AI bros like to yap about the importance of Agency over the Intelligence. If you think about it, isn't burning down a Data Center an ultimate demonstration of one's Agency over the Intelligence? :) Welcome to the age of Agency I guess.

@Polymarket They were calling everybody Luddites for even slightly criticizing any current gen AI practices. Well, there you. Real Luddites are coming for your Data Centers. A self-fulfilling prophecy.

@XorDev But in general I agree. GIF format sucks. It's limited, it's weird, and should've died long time ago.

@XorDev jfyi 90% of people in 2026 think that "gif" == "a short looped video without a sound". Just to explain the kind of replies you are getting under this post.

@G_GtN_ygt Tbh, I've never seen Cyrillic cursive font. Cyrillic cursive is something that is reserved and optimized specifically for handwriting. We never really use it in printing. 😅

@tsoding probably using a Cyrillic cursive font will be a even better idea 🤣

@tsoding I was thinking "you can't do it with C++". You could grep the word "static", maybe even count braces and know when you're in a struct... except you'd need to count class too... except you'd need to distinguish between class and template... ugh... you know what I'm talking about.

Sloppy way to find all the static local variables in C code: 1. Iterate all the C tokens, 2. Maintain the counter of the nested curly braces, 3. If you see the `static` keyword within at least one layer of curlies, you found it!

@JustSlavic I feel like this specific trick can be virtually done in any language. This is just a separate program that processes the source code files.

@tsoding I love that C allows you to do source code processing by yourself, that opens so many possibilities for analysis/code generation. And we all know the language that lost that

@tsoding One of my CS professors crafted his makefile so "make it so" was his build and test command. An enjoyable amount of whimsy.
