Stark realization: 2nd and 3rd biggest stocks during the #Technology #Bubble are just now outperforming #cash…26 years later! (RBA/JHI may own highlighted stocks in portfolios and via ETFs).

There was a naive effort to lower the barriers of entry of truck drivers, thinking that it would help the bottom lines of the fleets that are members of the ATA.
What happened was unexpected: we did flood the trucking industry with cheap labor, but rather than joining the ATA member fleets, these new actors joined small trucking operators which operate outside of the law, making our roads far less safe and dumping cheap rates onto the market, thus destroying the economics of the ATA's own members.
It was regulatory capture gone wrong.

I still can't wrap my head around the decision to ignore regulations and standards for Truckers just to keep wages (prices) down. Absolute governance failure and possibly ghoulish

@GerardAraud No in Trump’s system a drop from $600 to $10 is a roughly 6,000% drop. He takes the percentage it takes to get back to the starting price and uses it as the loss. Check me I’m right
