.@bostonpolice @BPDPCGross says the wheelchairs destroyed as part of #OperationCleanSweep along Methadone Mile were covered in feces, urine & blood & were being used as a pin cushion, covered in discarded needles. He says the city ensures anyone who needs a wheelchair, gets one.

Our primary focus will always be on the safety and well-being of all people in the City of Boston, and I'm asking for us all to work together hand in hand as a community to confront this national crisis.

There is not one perfect solution to dealing with this crisis, but we are committed to doing everything we can to continue supporting individuals in need of recovery services and making sure we address the neighborhood level issues that are occurring.

Pasquale "Pat" Capogreco one of ISDs "Legends" is retiring. Today we bid farewell to a friend, mentor, co-worker & great guy. Pat began his career in 1988 and throughout his 31 yrs of service he became an expert in his field and fostered relationships throughout the city

Chief of Operations Gerard Fontana briefs the media on the 5 Alarm fire on Quincy St . All occupants were safely evacuated. Damages are estimated at 400,000. The BFD-FIU is on scene to determine the cause of the fire.

Today I wrote to the @MBTA requesting additional service for passengers. I firmly believe that as a city, we deserve better service on a faster timeline. As the MBTA works to fix the ongoing issues with its service, Red Line riders need better solutions today.

I loved visiting with Uncle Frank Chin, his family, and friends as a park on the #RoseKennedyGreenway was named for him and his late wife Kathleen (Auntie Kay). Their selfless service & caring concern for others have benefited the people of Chinatown and Boston in profound ways.
