Philadelphia Union has officially signed top prospect Almamy Barry (‘13) per his IG. The striker initially from Guinea lives in the Philly area. The consensus *early* assessment from scouts is that he is one of the best prospects to emerge in the USA in years. One to monitor.

It’s about time Sullivan and Albert get called up to this level. Both should start given the other wingers on the roster

@MattAshton81 There are clubs with 25-30+ players for one team, it’s impossible to field everyone at events especially so they can play in front of coaches.

@yscentral MLS Academy players don't have enough film? How so? It is reasonable to guess there were in 40+ matches in the 24'-25' season that were filmed. Academies seem to be making up for the shorter schedule non academy teams are dealing with this year.

Just came across this pretty cool idea especially because some of these academy players never get to play at GA, MLS Next Cup, etc. Then eventually don’t get to play in college simply because they don’t have enough film/opportunities instagram.com/p/DWCAaM6gA3L/…

Considering we are pretty sure Pochettino is out after the WC, it would be wise for USSF to have his replacement ready right after the WC ends. We can’t afford to waste six months looking for a coach. It will set up too far back for 2030. Start looking and planning for it now.

⚠️🇺🇸 Zendejas might miss the World Cup… again? Alejandro Zendejas was not called up by the USMNT for the friendlies against Belgium and Portugal 🇵🇹. This FIFA window was crucial, as it will almost certainly determine the final World Cup squad🏆. The América player hasn’t been considered by Pochettino since September… 😬 And to think he switched to the USMNT hoping to go to the World Cup.

🇺🇸 Seattle Sounders defender Jackson Ragen was not called into the USMNT March Camp despite having an incredible start to the 2026 MLS season. Instead Tim Ream was called into the camp. This would have been Ragen’s last chance to join the team before the World Cup. Thoughts?

@yscentral I don't think that has been the argument. I think it's been "there are players who should be on the USMNT (whether through talent, history or pedigree) ahead of Berhalter." I don't view it as anti Berhalter but pro those other players first.

World Cup roster (-) the injured players. Which four players would you cut assuming Wright, Dest, and Adams play in the World Cup and it’s a 26 man roster?

To further this point there is 5 or so players aged 2007-2009 that all could end up being better than Pulisic. I think we are just one cycle away for most of these guys to get on the roster, and only one who has a decent enough case is Gozo.

@ManagerTactical Wouldn’t be surprised if Banks reps USMNT one day, just won’t be this summer.
