If you haven't already hopped on the @WxFront train, what are you doing? The new overlay features are gamechanging. Never have I been able to overlay radar with RTMA, satellite, and other standard/dual pol products so easily.

@NWSIWX It seems like it was mostly isolated to those trees. I saw some small branches down on some other houses, but they seemed to be from last weekend.

Damage in Hillsdale, Michigan is not entirely convincing. Very sporadic. Not sure if the earlier tornado can be confirmed.

@AlexPortteus Thank you! That matches what we were seeing on radar in regards to timing of storms in Hillsdale County. We are looking into pictures of the tree damage and seeing if we can get any other reports.

@NWSIWX These photos are from the corner of N Lake Pleasant road and Gay road, a few miles NE of Hillsdale, Michigan. I do not know exactly when it occurred, but judging by radar it may have occurred around 3:15pm.

Every Hillsdale County tornado looks the same (not counting Palm Sunday of course)

@TheGoodTomKing @LoopsSr Just judging on how violently the subvortices are orbiting the core, this could be a strong tornado. Ef0 tornados dont churn in this nature. Those are characteristics of ef2+ tornados

@LoopsSr He was on the least destructive side of a weak tornado. Probably an EF0 at that point.

Termination of the NAM, SREF, HREF, HiresW, and NAM has how been delayed back to Oct 6, 2026 Originally the NAM, HREF, and SREF are being retired Aug 31st with the RRFS and REFS going operational. The big question is why the delay?

Rare hot take: I think anybody clinging onto RadarScope at this point is only doing so out of familiarity. There’s objectively better options, cheaper than RS Tier II now. $15 a month is overpriced. Even free options beat paid (non-monthly) RS now.
