The Federal Reserve cut rates by 50 bps. The median projection has two more 25 bps rate cuts in 2024, for a total of 100 bps this year. Fed governor Miki Bowman dissented in favor of a smaller 25 bps cut. It's the first dissent by a *governor* since 2005.

@CREdebtlawyer Most of Europe offers 30-year terms.. there are many exceptions.

I find the 30 versus 40 year mortgage fight/rhetoric a bit funny. These are residential loans backed by quasi governmental entities. If you hate the 40 year why don’t you hate the 30 year mortgage? US is the only country to offer 30 year (with few exceptions)
