I usually remain quite impartial to the extra circular activities on the floor, but Wemby has had 4-5 plays this postseason where they are genuinely non-basketball plays and quite frankly dirty. It’s been a little bizarre. The fact this is the second time these playoffs where we are waiting to see if the league office will take further action against him for a play is quite concerning.

FWIW the NBA has basically stopped enforcing the “leave the bench” rule. Most notably, Kevin Love left the bench in the 2018 Finals and wasn’t suspended. That’s mostly a relic of the Stern era, whereas cheap shots like Wemby’s on Brunson are and should still be actually enforced.

I think the officiating discussion on here this morning is a little overblown (Game 2 the officiating was egregious, last night the Knicks were fouling a ton)… with that said, I think it’s absolutely on the board that Wemby gets retroactively assessed a Flagrant 1 for the Brunson play, which would put him at 3 Flagrant Foul points, and one more would result in a suspension.
