I have to be honest: I wish Trump wasn’t president for the 250th anniversary of America. “So you want Harris?!” No, calm down. I wish Trump wasn’t president because i wish the Democrats were still the 1980s Democrats. I wish they loved America at their core and we were just arguing over policies. But that all went out the window under Clinton. Clinton is when the Democrats decided that power was more important than America. “He was impeached for a blowjob!” No, he was impeached for perjury. And at one point in time, Democrats would have stood up and said so. They’d have admonished him, even if they didn’t remove him, and the “impeached for a blowjob” lie would have died. I wish W hadn’t been a big-government Republican as he was. Yes, 9/11 shook our country and we did things like the Patriot Act that violated American principles. But much like COVID, we shouldn’t have. W’s overreach led to Obama’s “pen and phone”, Operation Fast and Furious, and investigations into conservative groups. Obama used the power to the extent he could. Hillary was supposed to win in 2016 and continue the slide, but Trump’s victory interrupted that. The road to Trump 45/47 had many exit ramps, and with every exit missed, America became less America. Trump is a reminder to many of us what America once was: hopeful, playful, serious but not too serious.

And yes, I am sure I will now be attacked for this along the lines of "but I thought you were a peace advocate". I have watched the Islamic regime in Iran destabilise the middle east for as long as I've been alive. They have to stop if we want to see true peace.

If you are the USA with the best military in the world, and your choices are: 1/ Pay vast quantities of money to Iran because they believe you have "lost the war" and want massive compensation. 2/ Fight on and try to win the war. #2 is obviously the smarter choice.
