"This office the Lord Jesus did most willingly undertake, which that He might discharge He was made under the law, and did perfectly fulfill it, and underwent the punishment due to us, which we should have born and suffered, being made sin and a curse for us; enduring most grievous sorrows in His soul, and most painful sufferings in His body; was crucified, and died, and remained in the state of the dead, yet saw no corruption: on the third day He arose from the dead with the same body in which He suffered, with which He also ascended into heaven, and there sits at the right hand of His Father making intercession, and shall return to judge men and angels at the end of the world." Hey, this might seem like a minor thing, but it's not. Cultures are shaped by the stories they tell. Mao understood that, which is why he launched the cultural revolution to destroy the old culture and build a new one. LOTR is worth defending.
Wasson Watch Co.@WassonWatch

The Lord of the Rings is a distinctly Christian work, with significant Christian themes, and clearly Biblically allegorical narratives. As a cultural icon, LOTR serves as a protective barrier between the Bible Based Western Civilization and the ancient, godless, pagan culture @JackPosobiec ascribed to LOTR. By sitting rent-free in our collective minds, it inculcates within us the such important truths as: - Objective distinctions and necessary conflict between good and evil - The value and beauty of self-sacrifice, and duty to others - The necessity of courage and bravery in the face of evil - The futility and ugliness of moral compromise - The virtue of loyalty and love for country, family, friends, and brothers in arms In Live Not by Lies @roddreher describes a Christian mother in Communist Eastern Europe who read LOTR to her children six times as a way to help instill Western, Christian values in them while they were surrounded by godless Communism. By attacking LOTR, Poso has revealed his disdain for the good, the pure, the noble, the beautiful, and the true.

It is helpful to know that the people "reporting" on religion - and the ones who are 'big mad' at everything - actually know nothing about the religion on which they report. First, Catholics don't have a Good Friday mass. Second, it is simply kind to clarify what type of service is being offered, for those with differing beliefs.
Jennifer Bendery@jbendery

NEW: The Pentagon today invited more than 3,500 employees to attend a Good Friday service at its in-house chapel. Except it’s only for Protestants, not Catholics. huffpost.com/entry/news-liv…

🎙️Sully’s Postgame Comments🎙️ -On the Game: Yeah 10 free passes, try to manage pen from behind was difficult. Had a hitter 0-2 and 1-2 and walked both. Liam didn’t have his fastball command. (Went on to talk about his high pitch counts after every inning) Ernie fell behind left on left to a hitter with 1 home run. The pickoff there in the 8th is inexcusable. That can’t happen. -On Bounce back runs: Felt like we were chasing all game. 4 pitch walk after Cade’s homer and then we get picked off. Just can’t happen. -On Surowiec’s good night: He’s been good yeah. The 3rd inning really stands out. It’s unfortunate. The two leadoff walks after having the hitters 0-2 and 1-2.

@delatorre This is this team. They struggle with the little things. It is why they’re so inconsistent. Too many walks. Too many hit batters. Too many errors. Too many Ks. Too many unforced mistakes.

Getting picked off at 1st base after a leadoff homer and then a 4-pitch walk to put the tying run at the plate is inexcusable. Can't have it happen. I know the pickoff move was close but it shouldn't matter. You're not going anywhere.

The Left’s ENTIRE birthright citizenship argument obliterated in 80 seconds. They don’t believe in your birthright. They don’t believe in mine. They’ve twisted the 14th Amendment into something it was NEVER meant to be. And in doing so, they cheapen the sacrifice, the blood, and the history that made American citizenship mean something. This isn’t complicated: You’re either a citizen… or you’re NOT. No loopholes. No games. No rewriting history.

@Jason_Gray @hunterbaker What is an outsider? Part of my family were Germans who went to Texas to farm. They took the worst plots of land and yielded crops. They did not speak English. The census shows they spoke German and their children went to German speaking schools. They built churches. Outsiders?

I don't understand why any Christian cares about preserving a majority for a particular race. That's not a category for us. If it is, then something else is under the hood of the vehicle, but not Christianity.

Homosexuals are so persecuted in this country, so on the outs, so victimized, so fringe, that an NBA player was cut for saying he doesn’t support sodomy.

Genuine question, Governor: If you affirm someone’s right to pursue medical intervention to align their body with their gender identity, on what principle do we deny others the right to pursue therapeutic intervention to explore whether their dysphoria might be addressed differently?Your skewing of the Christian faith for partisan ends belies what is, at root, a philosophical question that you cannot answer. Since you’re a magistrate tasked to uphold the common good, of which the nature of male and female is a constituent part of, we need a coherent account from you of which identity claims warrant medical affirmation and which warrant further re-consideration.

This is so dumb. Hey Vrabel, it isn't TreVeyon who is non-inclusive and uneducated on this issue.
Carlos A. Lopez@LosTalksPats

#Patriots HC Mike Vrabel on TreVeyon Henderson’s controversial post: “I love TreVeyon… He cares deeply about his faith… I want them to be able to express what they believe… But, I also wanna make sure that they’re educated. We want to be inclusive.” (🎥 @Patriots)

@LivingGodsTruth @StephenCurry30 Billy Donovan is probably the most disappointing to me at this point. Not only is he not supporting Ivey, he is attacking him, and implying he has mental problems. It’s very disappointing as a Gator to see Donovan fail to affirm the beliefs of the faith he claims.

Every Christian in the NBA should stand with Jaden Ivey. Speak the biblical truth about NBA Pride Month to the glory of Christ. @StephenCurry30 I'm a huge fan, but I'm primarily talking about you. Christianity is not for cowards. Jesus calls us to be set apart from the world.

The hypocrisy of the @chicagobulls and the @NBA is disgusting. They allow all sorts of immoral behavior, defend it even. God forbid a Christian speak out against unrighteousness.
Colin J. Smothers@colinsmo

@chicagobulls What was his detrimental conduct? Was it abandoning a baby mama? Was it drunkenness? Was it physical abuse? Was it reckless or disorderly behavior? No, that won’t get you kicked out of the NBA. Ivey’s crime was being a Christian in public.
