@BigRedSulk I'm completely rejecting those reports (see the Sam Wallace one?) cos I just cannot process how that's a likely or viable scenario. Just not having it. He's gone imo.

Man, all the tributes from Robbo's teammates past and present, and all those photos from some of the best days of our lives. A sobering reminder of how fleeting all this is, how quickly it comes and goes. You really do have to savour every moment of the good stuff. It rattles by.

Join us as we talk about “the economy” with views ranging from that funded by oil companies and big tobacco to those funded by big banks and defense contractors.

Should be noted that this year is the first time Lee hasn't had a serious primary challenge since her time in the Pa House.
State Rep. Dan Frankel@RepDanFrankel

My statement with @SenJudySchwank, as cochairs of the PA Legislative Jewish Caucus: “We are deeply alarmed by reports that Rep. Summer Lee plans to campaign alongside Hasan Piker, a commentator who has repeatedly trafficked in antisemitic statements.

For the first time in my life a substantial population of conservative Catholics has galvanized around protecting the lives of humans who have already been born & some opus dei motherfuckers are NOT happy about it
Michael Caputo@MichaelRCaputo

When this is over, Catholics will look back on Pope Leo’s hyped meddling in civic affairs as offensive as the hundreds of millions of US taxpayer dollars that went to Catholic Charities to facilitate human trafficking.

@mdeeks76 A big part of the reason Xabi is the number one candidate to take over.

All I’m gonna say is remember how Rodgers used Firmino and it was Klopp who got the best out of him. This is exactly how Slots using Wirtz. Watch Wirtz shine under a new manager.

@2Smitty2 Brady isn’t even elected anymore. I think Boyle, Houlahan, and Dean are among the best PA politicians

@isaiah_bb And bozos like him don’t live near data centers. And there was a story floating around here about renters in KY being forced out so one can be built.

It’s bad, but also completely predictable. They’ve spent the last 4 years saying this tech is, at best, going to lead to mass unemployment, and potentially end the world. How do you expect people to metabolize that as anything other than a threat?
roon@tszzl

just so everyone is clear: this is evil. you are justified in thinking it’s morally bad. tons of apologetics happening for bad people. if you think behavior like this is just desserts for the tech industry due to some hobbyhorse you have, you have gone insane

@jakebackpack Zaid gets it all wrong. The Democrats never made Limbaugh a big deal. The only time Rush ever paid was when ESPN fired him.

I actually think there's something different at work here, also baked into the way Democrats think about endorsements: the party and its apparatchiks are actually obsessed with *celebrities* and really, deeply believe in them as a source of power.
Zaid Jilani@ZaidJilani

Republicans paid zero electoral price for venerating and courting Rush Limbaugh despite thousands of offensive statements from him. Because voters don’t think that way. It’s coalition management. So stop whining about podcasters, libs.

@SER1897 Don’t forget Darth Cheney’s spawn was still calling Democrats baby killers early in Biden’s term.

I'm not sure voters bought this: Cheney -- a two-time Trump voter who had previously bashed Harris as a "radical" -- had just lost her seat, now endorsed Harris, who said her major difference from Biden was that she'd put a Republican in her Cabinet.

@D_Laws_ @neverpilled The Orange Man is too gauche. They had no problem when Yertle the Turtle gummed up the works during the Obama presidency. They didn’t have a problem with Dubya.

I think "cancellation" applies if you suggest even far-leftists shouldn't campaign with Piker. It's not as if I think mainstream Dems should do so. Also, a similar list could be comprised for many former Never Trumpers: "Do you agree with Sykes that Michelle Obama is a "mooch"?
Charlie Sykes@SykesCharlie

No one is saying that Piker should be “cancelled.” The question is whether Democrats should campaign with him, invite him to their rallies, and treat him as ally.3 And it is wholly disingenuous to describe Piker merely as an “antiestablishment” voice or simply a “scold” or that he is a part of a “broad prodemocracy coalition.” charliesykes.substack.com/p/the-pope-the…
