Becerra’s campaign feels like a carbon copy of the worst parts of Harris’ 2024 bid. He’s struggling to define himself while desperately trying to ride artificial momentum after the previous Democratic frontrunner collapsed.

Just in: “U.S. forces conducted self-defense strikes in southern Iran today to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces, US CENTCOM spokesman told CNN in a statement Monday when asked about explosions reported around the Strait of Hormuz. “Targets included missile launch sites and Iranian boats attempting to emplace mines. U.S. Central Command continues to defend our forces while using restraint during the ongoing ceasefire.”

Susan Collins this morning posted this Memorial Day tweet, in which she appeared alongside members of the “Maine Militia,” an armed far-right-wing and antisemitic paramilitary group, which brags that it doesn’t “worship Blacks and Jews,” calling MAGA a “Jewish psyop.”

@Chappyx06 @carolannleif @DrewSav Everyone can argue that what they consider “disqualifying” is the legitimate red line, but it ultimately doesn’t work if Dems don’t rally behind their obvious nominees and focus instead on the Republican (especially now!)

Auchincloss should be primaried. Endorsing Susan Collins is not acceptable for any elected Democrat. It's fine if he doesn't like Platner. I don't like him either but beating Susan Collins is of vital importance to our country.

I cannot even conceive of how big of a landslide she would lose in. Definitely losing New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and Illinois. I start to look at Connecticut and Oregon at that point, too.

Peak woke (~2019-2022) is an amazing time capsule. A time when Dems thought Trump/MAGA was vanquished & treated pre-Elon twitter's culturally liberal/educated base (modern bluesky exiles) as the emerging electorate. Talarico doesn't talk like this anymore, but Rs saved the clips.

Brian Kemp received over 200,000 more votes than Herschel Walker🤣. Walker having CTE really greatly helped Warnock that year! Many Republican voters declined to pull the trigger on Walker lol. Black MAGA candidates seem to lose more than win.

@ResistAIPAC @reesetheone1 That is Harris’s entire problem, which I suspected would be fatal back in 2019. Moderates see her as too liberal and the left thinks she’s too centrist. It’s a no win situation. Ossoff avoids this trap.

The problem is she’s a TOO FAR LEFT POLITICIAN and so is Newsom.
Anyone left of beshear Shapiro and Ossoff will have Midwest voter problems.

As a Southern Dem, Ossoff has a genuine rapport/relationship with Black voters in ways many liberal Dems do not. He also presents as a moderate to average swing voter. Culturally speaking, Harris is very different from midwest voters
