Sigh. A few things can be true about this video: 1) No matter what side of the debate over crime and curfews you fall on, this is legitimately scary for people and workers and just bad for businesses. They could respond by banning groups of kids. (See: Tenleytown Target, etc.)

@maustermuhle Even if the curfew wouldn’t have stopped this instance, it seems like it only further justifies the need for one, or a reworking of the language of it to include stuff like this.

@maustermuhle Sure, but the same argument could be made for laws against AR15s not preventing certain mass shootings, like VA tech, because the shooter didn’t use an AR15. It doesn’t mean that an AR15 ban wouldn’t help limit mass shootings.

If you can’t understand how an applicant with a 507 MCAT who came from poverty, first to go to college, working while in school, and has no financial help is much more impressive and implies far better work ethic and perseverance than someone with a 512, rich parents, MCAT prep course, and never had a job…you’re a fucking dumbass.

There are two Washington, DCs. One that is fighting like hell to close 18th Street in Adams Morgan to car traffic. The other that is fighting like hell for BASIC needs— convenient quality groceries, an adequately staffed and operating hospital for 150k ppl and safe streets.

Bummer. This was a nice addition to the strip with 289 menu options plus dim sum. It opened in a space that had been vacant for five years, and now I'm guessing the landlord is looking to get more for the big space than they were back then.
