This American’s daughter needs a tonsil surgery. The doctor said it would only be about a 20 minute surgery “In case anyone is curious at how f*cked up the United States medical system is, I just got an estimate — estimated cost $108,447.46” Our healthcare system is extortion

Billy Corgan suggesting that rap was artificially elevated, presumably in an attempt to replace rock as the most popular music genre. Why?

Want your blood to boil? The average private sector American has 10-14 paid vacation days per year if they’re lucky. Members of Congress have 98-105 vacation days per year paid for by private sector Americans. Totally unacceptable. It needs to change.

Men think this is an improvement. MacKenzie Scott, Princeton graduate, writing novels at age six, studied under Toni Morrison, founded Amazon, and one of the biggest philanthropists in the history of humanity. Versus.. whatever the fuck this is.

🚨 White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt today: “Our nation was founded, almost 250 years ago, on Judeo-Christian values.” The Treaty of Tripoli. 1797. Signed by Founding Father John Adams. Ratified unanimously by the Senate: “The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.” Thomas Jefferson — who wrote the Declaration of Independence — was a deist who literally cut the miracles out of his Bible. James Madison — the father of the Constitution — explicitly warned against the “diabolical hell conceived principle of persecution” by state religion. The First Amendment’s opening words: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.” They put it first.

As a GenXer, I grew believing in the idea that America was a “melting pot” and that immigrants came here to assimilate into American culture. What I have witnessed over the past few decades is the idea of “multiculturalism” pervading our schools and communities. They push the hyphenated American identity which has left us divided and with a belief that we should feel guilty for being American - particularly white American- and must assuage that guilt by conforming to the immigrants culture.

There are certain globally widespread cultural practices that should never be a part of American culture: 1. Treatment of women as chattel property with no decision making in their own lives. 2. The practice of husbands lightly beating their wives as a means of justified encouragement. 3. Mandatory female genital mutilation. 4. Using subterfuge and violence to impose your religious beliefs on others. 5. Mistreating dogs. 6. Young boys as objects of sexual gratification for older men. 7. Tribal loyalties trumping the Constitution and the rule of law. When people from such cultures come to the USA, they do not assimilate to American norms. They expect US to assimilate to THEIR norms. I challenge anyone to tell me what is morally incorrect or unjust about what I just wrote.

NEW: Tennessee grandmother spends five months in jail after facial recognition links her to crimes in North Dakota, a state she says she never visited Angela Lipps, 50, was arrested at gunpoint by U.S. Marshals at her home in Elizabethton while babysitting four children She was held in jail for 108 days without bail and later flown to North Dakota on felony fraud charges The case stemmed from a Fargo investigation into someone using a fake U.S. Army ID to withdraw money Her attorneys provided records showing she was in Tennessee at the time of the alleged crimes. Lipps said it took five minutes of questioning for the case to fall apart She was released on Christmas Eve after charges were dismissed without prejudice. Fargo’s police chief later admitted investigators made multiple errors but did not apologize

@FrankLuntz We allow over 20 million illegals and pay for them every day. Yet we don’t offer universal child care for our nation? The cost would be insignificant compared to the political fraud and illegals we pay for yearly.

This Lone Ranger Atomic Bomb ring was distributed by Kix cereal in the late 40's, for 15 cents and a mail-in box top. It was actually a spinthariscope containing radioactive Polonium-210 (one of the most toxic substances out there). A child would take the toy into a pitch-black room, remove the tail cap from the 'bomb', and look through a tiny lens to see flashes of light from the Polonium-210 atoms decaying into Lead-206.

I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week. I don’t get why we are so vilified.

McChrystal is absolutely foolish and I’m happy he’s out of the military. I still serve and began my service as a Marine in 1991. The culture then was very much a warrior culture and we lost that once Clinton and Obama came into office. I can tell you, first hand, that the atmosphere has changed in our units for the better. The soldiers love Hegseth and what’s happening. Regardless of the job- IT, communications, logistics- you still need to be a warrior first!

A fascinating answer from Gen Stan McChrystal to the NY Times on what he thinks about War Secretary Pete Hegseth's bravado culture. Worth remembering he commanded a green beret platoon, an airborne battalion and a Ranger regiment, before running Joint Special Operations Command.

McChrystal made himself incredibly wealthy by creating a consulting firm that peddles the MDMP to greedy Silicon Valley techbros like it is some sort of revelatory approach to business. The ignorant techbros lap it up like kittens to cream. They puff out their chests thinking they earned a Green Beret in management, their business is the same, and McChrystal moves on to the next mark. He trades military honor for filthy lucre. Illegal? No. Dishonorable? In my opinion, yes. Feel free to disagree, but I've run in both worlds in a way few others ever have. I know of what I speak. Forgive me if I give zero credence to this man smearing the choice of the American electorate via a neo-Marxist propaganda rag.
Mark Lucas 🇺🇸@MarkLucasUSA

Stanley McChrystal attacks @PeteHegseth in the NYT, saying he's 'disappointed by the current atmosphere that is communicated from the top,' saying elite operators 'weren't braggadocious' and 'didn't beat their chest.' This from a cocky general who was fired for running his mouth to Rolling Stone.
