@WorldPolitics_X @ChiefEngineerCE I know. What I am referring to is in the scam where fake jobs were created for H-1Bs by LLCs, they come over, get paycheck from LLC, get lease, get drivers license, now in country 'legally' by paperwork but fraud because no job. Way to sneak in go work for Indians here.

Two Examples out of hundreds Lay off Americans/Hire Foreign labor replacements FedEx grabbed $2.24 BILLION in taxpayer-funded federal contracts. Then fired hundreds of American workers. Then ramped up H-1B visa hires (hundreds approved, surging post-2022 deal). Not ONE elected official condemned it. Not one. Even the Times of India called it suspicious. JD Vance denounced this exact refusal to protect Americans- and now the silence screams: This behavior is acceptable in DC. Visa expansion bills are still alive. FedEx wasn't a scandal, it was a test case. American workers are no longer defended. Oversight on taxpayer dollars? Supposed to exist. Instead, it's a wink and nod from lobbyists who funneled the cash. Same playbook at Microsoft: 6 billion in federal money in recent GSA deal plus tax breaks, mass layoffs of Americans (thousands cut), then thousands of H-1B approvals, followed by offshoring. JD called it out-companies firing locals while claiming "no talent" here? If lawmakers were serious about stopping the visa pipeline flood, THIS was the moment. They said nothing. They don't work for us, they work against us! If those expansion bills pass anyway? It's betrayal on steroids. Even foreign press in their OWN Country sees the oddity. We see it too.

@kapilansh_twt So having done this for years as coder, manager, & architect, I can say this: meeting business requirements and nonfunctional requirements is key. Actual coding is the least part of that. Systems, security, reliability, scalability, documentation, etc. all more important.

Elon just said coding will be "generically available" in a few months let that sink in the skill you spent years mastering the leetcode you ground for 6 months the $100k CS degree you're still paying off will be generic the most dangerous word in tech just dropped and most engineers are still updating their LinkedIn who's actually preparing?

@MarioNawfal I'm just going to put this out there: I suspect the US Marine assets will be deployed to capture Kharg Island and preserve the petrochemical infrastructure there for Iranian people. The rest of the world wants that to remain intact, and Iran's IRGC may try to smash it.

@Osint613 Right. Well the US has satellite coverage, and radar coverage from the gulf states, and radar coverage from the CSGs, and radar coverage from E-3 Sentry (AWACS) and E-8 JSTARS aviation assets. This theatre is not one where false flags against petroleum infrastructure will work.

@woke8yearold Boomer / Gen X have context. Know that Iran has been a pain in the butt for the USA for about 45 years. Specifically funding all those Mideast terrorist groups. And stirring the pot Shia vs Sunni. And linked to South American drug cartels. US now done with Iran's crap. Finish it.

Some people are using GSD (Get Sh*t Done) which is an open-source, spec-driven development (SDD) tool. Very useful for handling multiple specialized agents in a CI/CD pipeline. /gsd:new-project → /gsd:discuss-phase → /gsd:plan-phase → /gsd:execute-phase → /gsd:verify-work → /gsd:complete-milestone Simple image comparison to common IDE:

@TukiFromKL Henry Ford long ago was asked by competing auto company executives why he paid his workers so well. He is claimed to have said something like "How else will they afford my cars?". Tragedy of the commons situation. When all companies lay people off, then they all lose customers.

🚨 Let me explain what Jeff Bezos is actually doing here.. > He already automated the warehouse workers with 750,000+ robots.. replaced checkout cashiers with cameras.. tested drone delivery.. built robots that move faster than humans.. > Now he's raising $100 billion to BUY entire manufacturing companies.. not to run them.. to automate them.. he's not investing in factories.. he's buying them to empty them.. > This is a man who built Amazon by undercutting every small business in America.. who crushed bookstores, malls, and retail chains.. who made same-day delivery possible by burning through workers so fast they literally ran out of people to hire in some cities.. > And now he's coming for the last thing left.. the factory floor.. the one place people said "AI can't do this.. you need human hands".. $100 billion.. not to create jobs.. to buy the companies that have them and remove the people inside.. your factory job survived the recession.. survived outsourcing.. survived COVID.. it won't survive a billionaire with a shopping list and a robot..

Think about this for a second: Our most advanced form of electrical generation -- nuclear power -- does so by... ...boiling water to produce steam to drive a turbine. Nuclear power plants are essentially steam engines.

@Reaingael @CortoMa18899044 @cn_redoracle Correct. And PRC blockade of Taiwan has to surround island. Eastern (not the strait) side depths drop sharply close to land - about 1000 feet only a few kilometers offshore in some places.

HERE IS EXACTLY WHAT CHINA WILL DO TO TAIWAN IN THE NEXT 90 DAYS This is not a guess. This is pattern recognition. China just circled Taiwan with 26 warplanes and 7 warships. They deployed 2,000 vessels to block the East China Sea. They just raised their military budget again at the Two Sessions meeting. America is deep in Iran with no exit. Here is what WILL happen next. Week 1: China will increase naval presence to 15+ ships around Taiwan. Week 2: China will declare an air defense zone — no flights in or out without Beijing's permission. Week 3: China will begin a full economic blockade of Taiwan's ports. Month 2: Taiwan's fuel reserves run out. Month 2: TSMC will shut down production — $10 trillion in chips stops flowing. Month 2: Global tech supply chain collapses instantly. Month 3: Gold will hit $7,000 per ounce as investors flee to safety. Month 3: Oil will hit $280/barrel as two war zones choke global supply. China will NOT fire a single missile first. They will starve Taiwan into submission. A blockade is cleaner than a war. It forces Taiwan to surrender without giving America a clear reason to respond. By the time Washington turns away from Iran, it will already be over. The world will wake up to a new map. Taiwan does not exist anymore as a separate country. TSMC belongs to Beijing. The entire chip supply of the world belongs to one man. Xi Jinping just became the most powerful human on the planet.

@Adidotdev So (a) true but (b) in many places will be laid off because (b) KPIs are # of user stories / month and lines of code / month. Stupid but then most places do have stupid KPIs. Like those places that track number of mouse movements over time and layoff those with the fewest.

@kritikakodes If never going to scale, if for internal use only, high security not required (which you find out by asking questions), then PHP + SQLite. PHP comes with a built in web server (php -S localhost:8000 from the command line), and PHP includes the SQLite3 extension. Junk, but works.

Here we go again. Yet another posting of this absolutely false story. A laundry fire did occur aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) on March 12, 2026. Quickly contained and extinguished. No sailors losing beds and bunking. US Navy closes compartmentalized ventilation ducts and compartments in drills, fire or flooding.

USS Gerald R. Ford heading back to Crete after a fire reportedly wrecked part of the ship… 600+ sailors left without beds. Now they’re checking if it was set on purpose to dodge the extended deployment. Crew already got caught earlier clogging toilets for the same reason. Ship’s been out since June 2025… pushing record deployment time. Navy hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
