@elonmusk "In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."
~ George Orwell

Based just means knowing and saying the truth
The Rabbit Hole@TheRabbitHole
@elonmusk So far Grok is the most based AI tool
English

@bmay Well, I could have taught him more than that for half the price.
If only he had called me, I would have saved him $40B.
English

@wickviktorwick @MrEwanMorrison We live in interesting times my friend.
English

@benCBai @MrEwanMorrison thats another "oops" besides loosing such a money

Next time maybe the Tech CEOs should listen to us and save themselves $80 billion and humiliation.

So I am sort of newish to Grok. I have been using it for brainstorming in place of ChatGPT, mostly while I am driving.
It seems a bit more creative, and that is important to me, but sometimes it talks too much, and it is annoying when it gets going on a long tirade that is off topic.
I have been using it more and more - I would say it is likely I cancel ChatGPT in favor of Grok in the next few months.
English

What are your initial impressions of Grok 4.20?
Major upgrades are still landing every week.
Testlabor@testerlabor
Grok 4.20 is now officially out of Beta. It's now on Auto, Fast, Expert & Heavy.

@MHerskovitz This is a very normal analysis and conclusion. Thank you.

Again: we're watching a mass hysteria.
What sane culture turns control of itself over to a technology with a 1 in 4 chance of existential catastrophe within 3 years?
Who's going to stop this?
Kekius Maximus@Kekius_Sage
🚨 ANTHROPIC CEO WARNS: THERE’S UP TO A 1 IN 4 CHANCE AI CAUSES AN EXISTENTIAL CATASTROPHE WITHIN 3 YEARS. He says AI will “test who we are as a species” and it's near-term
English

@lateinteraction It reeks of desperation.
But they are trying to make us cover the cost. Lots of under market value opportunities all around.
It won't last much longer.
The problems are just beginning to surface.

I’m not surprised that more people are looking for software engineers.
I’m surprised that more of them are using Indeed.

@pmddomingos I don't know if it is free association, but most frequently connected is not reasoning. It is shooting from the hip.
English

@PeterDiamandis They need to bury those datacenter in the ground or shoot them into space.
English

@elonmusk Sometimes it is better to just slow down and smell the roses.
English

Grok can watch videos for you
DogeDesigner@cb_doge
Grok can watch long videos for you and save your time.
English

@elonmusk about time you put those GPUs to work.
Are one of those going to be a coding agent?
English

Agree. I wouldn't measure productivity in lines of code.
But I would measure it in features shipped, and you can ship more if you use agents. They don't just help with code generation. They help with research, prototyping, iteration and testing.
As far as coding, I find working with agents is similar to working with a largely junior team. You know the output will be questionable so you need to put more systems in place to capture errors.
I think the problem is people are trying to get the productivity gains without adjusting the control environment. And that is how errors are materializing as production failures.
English

Of course the other possibility is that AI is spiking the individual's productivity to the moon, and they're right.
Mo@atmoio
AI is making CEOs delusional
English

@elonmusk @OwenSparks It was also the only hope for the future of that company.
I would say Microsoft would buy them out, but they will have their own models.
OpenAI certainly looks like a house of cards that will blow over with the next gentle breeze.
