@Top100Rick Hanse is a self-congratulating chop. He ruined Oakmont, and taking out all the trees at Aronimink is going to make it a laydown. Guys can send it and not worry about having a shot to the green.

For those who love trees and hate tree removal on golf courses, please give 90 seconds to Gil Hanse. He explains why he removed the trees at Aronimink. Can you argue anything he says? As a tree defender myself, he makes a good case.

@texasrunnerDFW Prosper is just homes (and a grocery store). Doesn't matter how much "space" you have if you are spending two hours a day commuting and paying $200/month in tolls. Never understood the appeal.

This shouldn’t be allowed. I’ve seen more US Open qualifier videos this year than any year before. It’s becoming a rite of passage for every social media influencer with a handicap and a pulse.
Flatiron Flusher@FlatironFlusher

Golf "creators" are ruining competitive golf. It's one thing to film yourself shooting 82, it's another to invite your cameraman ONTO the green, DURING PLAY. It’s intrusive, disrespectful, and a distraction your playing partners didn’t agree to. Embarrassing behavior.

@thecorpmex This is complete BS. Where in California and where in Texas? LA, SF, or San Diego are 200-300% higher COL areas than anywhere in Texas.

My Dad called this baloney decades ago. He would visit me from CA & I would chirp this line at him. He did a deep dive on my groceries, natural gas, water, electricity & property taxes, etc and showed me that he paid less in overall costs.
Uzi@UziCryptoo

6 years of living in Texas and I've come to the conclusion that the no state income tax thing is basically a scam. The property taxes are so high that they negate any savings. We are still paying as many taxes in Texas as we would in California. You save on gas I guess.

@Top100Rick Worked at many of these through college as they opened up. It’s more about the service and exclusivity of these places than the actual golf. Some of the courses are amazing (Gozzer Ranch, Mountain Top). My preference would be for UK linksland/heathland golf all day long.

You hear about list chasers who chase the Top 100 golf courses. But there is a more exclusive list. The Discoveryland collection. The most expensive collection of clubs. Almost zero unaccompanied play allowed. Absolutely incredible experiences. I’ve only seen 9 of these.

Yesterday, Scottie Scheffler joined some of his fellow Masters champions in talking about something you're not supposed to talk about at Augusta National. Mud balls.

Scottie mentions something about The Masters some players are afraid to mention: The MUDBALLS. Spieth ranted about this a couple years ago. Even with no rain, the overseed is watered and kept long to slow down drives. This means mudballs.

You can see why the Masters is so for the rollback. Even with extensive lengthening, they also have to slow down the fairways to keep it from being completely overpowered. This course would even more amazing if they could firm up the fairways again.
