Shipped: snapsub.super.site I built this app as a solo indie project, a clean way to track all the subscriptions. Would genuinely appreciate any feedback if you give it a try. 🙏 Your feedback shapes what gets built next.

@CorkHurlingPod One thing that’s helped us is using a lightweight subscription tracking tool like SnapSub, you can find it on the App Store, to monitor all recurring costs. When budgets and compliance matter, having clear visibility into renewals and unused services can make a big difference.

Examiner upping it's subscription by €2, from €10 to €12.... Disappointing but with the way of the world everything is increasing these days except our wages of course!! The day it goes to €15 I'm out!!!!!

@marichatluvr @grammedevanille that drop usually isn’t just one thing, it’s a lot of small leaks. subscriptions are a big one. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) helps you see everything recurring so you can plug those leaks early.

@_Dreyville yeah everything turning into subscriptions is exhausting. the only way to stay sane is knowing exactly what you’re paying for. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) puts all subscriptions in one place so you can control what you actually keep.

> Subscribe to use the internet. Yeah, no issues, that's cool. > You want to watch a movie? Yeah, you gotta subscribe. > You want to listen to songs? Have you subscribed to the music app? > Your phone is running out of storage? Now you gotta subscribe for extra cloud storage. > Oh, you want to read a book? Have you subscribed? > You want to learn something? Now you gotta subscribe too. > Want to use a software, even unlock features on devices you already bought? Subscribe again. It’s maddening, what makes it worse is that it’s rarely a one time payment, it’s monthly, endlessly. Ownership is basically gone and now we're just renting our entire life.
SIR DREY (🍉,🍉)@_Dreyville

It’s really concerning how everything is now subscription based and we're all cool with it.

@OrevaZSN that shift to subscriptions is frustrating, especially when you lose ownership. at least tracking them helps you stay in control. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) lets you manage everything in one clear view.

You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything. Everything is a subscription service, like literally everything. You can't buy Microsoft Office, you have to purchase a subscription for a year. You literally have to pay for everything FOREVER.

@Jamel_Montalban canceling blindly works sometimes, but it’s better to know what you’re cutting. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) helps you track everything first so you’re making informed decisions.

@lazyorlaylah that’s a huge cost, and when things feel like subscriptions it hits harder. keeping track of all recurring expenses helps balance it out. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) gives you clarity on what’s draining money monthly.

@Sahilpahwa09 that’s a good mindset, understanding before acting. same applies to spending, especially subscriptions. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) helps you understand what you’re paying regularly so decisions are clearer.

From asking “can I buy?” To trying to explain “why to buy or avoid.” I now share what I’ve learned through technical analysis, and always tell my students — don’t depend on tips, build your own understanding!! Still learning… this is just a result of time, patience, and effort!! #JaiSiyaRam

Crazy how Action Quake 2 and The Specialists still inspire a lot of FPS games. I grew up with those. I still don't know what the subgenre is called, there's so little FPS games in that category, I doubt there is even a name for them I need to make a list youtube.com/watch?v=DSqvYi…

@RayFernando1337 this is exactly why people get tired of subscriptions, paying for apps that don’t improve. at least tracking what you’re paying helps you cut the useless ones. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) makes it easy to see and drop apps that aren’t worth it.

My wife collapsed in our hotel room in New York today “Call an ambulance, I can’t breathe” she was screaming My heart dropped If she ends up in an American hospital we are financially ruined I went on the Lufthansa app to book a flight back to Frankfurt, but unfortunately pilots are on strike today “Please I’m begging you” she was lying on the floor I sighed and called 911 She is now in surgery as apparently her appendix “almost burst” I am extremely scared This is going to cost us at least $100,000 She could have received much better care, for free, in Germany I will never visit this barbaric country ever again

@Greyinggeek2 @bonchieredstate yeah that’s frustrating, paying for premium and still getting ads defeats the point. also worth checking what you’re still subscribed to so you’re not wasting money elsewhere too. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) helps you track and cancel anything not worth it.

@bonchieredstate They snuck an ad in mine last week. I've paid for premium for almost 2 years. I cancelled that day and now use a 3rd party app on my phone. I only paid to avoid ads. I now don't feel bad for pirating their software.

@kndalglish OK, but you're in a better place than some including me 🙈😂 when I got sick medical bills piled up and I put them on a credit card. Biggest mistake but also a life saver. I'm grateful yet embarrassed. It won't go under $20k even paying $500 a month. Worse than my student loan

iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions This shows you everything billed through Apple/Google. You will find at least one app you forgot existed. This is the easy money. Cancel everything you haven't opened in 30 days. You can always re-subscribe.

Your bank account is paying salaries for apps you don't remember installing. That's not an accident. It's a business model. The cancel button on every subscription you own was built to defeat you by people who get paid to make sure you give up. A 2023 NBER paper proved it. Subscription "inertia" raises seller revenue by up to 200%. The longer you forget, the richer they get. Tonight, run this 15-minute autopsy. Watch the money fall back into your account:

@MetamateDaz exactly, forcing payment upfront kills the idea of “free.” and once you subscribe, it’s easy to forget. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) helps you track all those paid apps so you’re not stuck paying for things you didn’t intend.

@everton_dev @lubinho_k yeah mindset plays a big role, once people commit they’re more likely to stick. but that’s also why people forget to cancel. SnapSub (you can find in on the App Store) helps you stay aware of renewals so you’re choosing, not just defaulting.

@lubinho_k Because the users devalue the app once they already used for free. When they make a trial commitment upfront, when they use the app for the first time they think: “ok, this is a premium app that needs payment to use”, the whole mindset shifts.
