Completely untrue. A lie actually. It was is only by the authority of the Catholic Church, which collected the various books of Scripture in the fourth century, that we have a Christian Bible at all. It is only because of the Church the Bible survived and was taught for the many centuries before the printing press was invented. The law regarding translating the Bible was passed in 1408 (with support from secular & church authorities) in reaction to another infamous translator, John Wycliff. Wycliff produced a translation of the Bible that was corrupt and full of heresy. It is a fact usually ignored by Protestant historians that many English versions of the Scriptures existed before Wycliff, and these were authorized and perfectly legal. Tyndale, an English priest, asked the Church’s permission to publish his own bible which they denied for many reasons. He did it anyway.

I read thru so many comments here about who is the antichrist, and even that the tribulation has started. If you can walk into your local supermarket and pay with cash, you’re not in the Tribulation; the point being, we’re looking for JESUS CHRIST, not antichrist.
