@thecircuitpulse @A_MrBenMitchell @Tesla Yes, turning climate on remotely does condition the battery, and I was going to suggest this, but then I realized what Ben was talking about, and it won’t heat up the battery to Level 3 charging conditions. You have to be driving toward a Supercharger for that routine to kick in.

@A_MrBenMitchell @Tesla +1 I supercharge a lot and this would definitely be helpful when you have to go to a supercharger station thats nearby. Does turning the climate on still preconditions the battery ? I know that was the case some time ago but not sure if its still works

Currently staying at a hotel on the motorway services. Two supercharger sites available, one north and one southbound. @tesla PLEASE let us precondition the battery remotely. It’s probably at 12° right now and when I plug it in later it’s going to have no time to warm up

@DriveTeslaca (From another post it looks like I was worried for nothing. It looks like the view I currently know and love is still there, but that you can now swipe up and down on the trip card to see the new view/info.)

@DriveTeslaca I sure hope I have the option to keep the old one that was customizable to show the combination of things I have selected (current consumption, odometers, etc.). This new thing looks less useful to me.

@JeanIncon @djibey @ZeClint (I was quite annoyed to see they finally added a front bumper camera for 2026, a year after I upgraded. I hope they provide a retrofit option for my 2025, but I’ve heard or read that that is unlikely. 😢)

@JeanIncon @djibey @ZeClint The vision-based parking assistance is remarkably good, so I don’t miss the ultrasonic sensors, but I really wish I had a front bumper camera, because neither of my Model 3 cars has been good at detecting curbs or other low obstacles right in front of the bumper.

Ils finiront pareil. Never bet against end-to-end. Never bet against la simplicité. Never bet against Elon.

Even in darkness, we glow. In this image of Earth taken by the Artemis II crew, we can see the electric lights of human activity. In the lower right, sunlight illuminates the limb of the planet.

@Sofia_Goldberg_ @NASAAdmin Both pilots killed. Initial reports are that a controller cleared a fire truck across the active runway, and the jet—presumably cleared to land on that runway—slammed into it on landing. So sad for all involved, including that controller, who will never be the same. 😢

My thoughts are with those affected by the Air Canada crash at LaGuardia. Thankful for the rapid response from first responders and aviation professionals on scene.

@BasedDrRoop @djcows I can afford the $99/mo., I just choose not to spend that much on an incomplete feature. And I like driving.

@JakeeDaytoner @djcows V14 on HW4 is actually quite assertive. Still not worth the price to me as long as you have to supervise it, though. And it speeds in school zones and still generally annoys me a lot. I was actually relieved when the most recent trial ended. 😂

@JasonSouthwell @djcows Yeah, during the recent long free trial a few months ago, I could never get it to slow down in school/playground zones, where the cops here (for good reason) have pretty much zero tolerance.

@TheGadgetGuru @djcows They’ve already pushed out multiple free trials and many or most people don’t subscribe at the end of the trial. I love my Tesla—I’m on my second one—and I am also a shareholder, but as a consumer I don’t see the value of FSD at the current price with current capability. Sorry.

@djcows This is why Tesla should offer a 24-hour or seven-day FSD program. If a HW4 owner tries it for a day or on a road trip, they will most likely become a subscriber.

@djcows @gailalfaratx Nope. I’ve had several free trials, including the recent v14 trial on HW4. It’s great, but still annoying at times and not worth C$11K or $99/mo. to me. I could maybe see subscribing for a single month for a long road trip, but even then I’m not sure. Autosteer is good enough.

@djcows @ijoshuajohnson Yeah, $99 per month is a lot for a feature I still have to supervise. Glad I have included Autopilot. I’d be pretty angry at having to pay such a high price for any driver assistance.

@djcows Uh, cause I like driving my fun Model 3? And because I couldn’t justify C$11K or $99/mo. on software that still requires supervision? (Especially when Autopilot is good enough on the highway.) Maybe if FSD ever gets to the point where I can nap or answer emails, but until then 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SawyerMerritt I live in Canada. Both my 2021 and 2025 Model 3s were built in Fremont, but not too long before I bought my 2025, Tesla was bringing in a lot of cars from Shanghai, so they could preserve the US-content cars for the US market (re. credits). So, new reason, but not a new practice.

NEWS: Tesla has quietly pulled all the existing Model 3 inventory from its Canadian website, effectively clearing the deck ahead of a major change in Canada’s automotive trade policies taking effect. Coinciding with the official launch of Canada’s newly established quota system for Chinese-built EVs, the sudden inventory wipe strongly suggests that Tesla is preparing to resume importing Giga Shanghai-built Model 3s north of the border. notateslaapp.com/news/3727/tesl…

@Tesla FSD v14 is amazing, but not worth $99 per month, sorry. After learning from all of us beta testers over the years it should be free or very cheap, especially while it must still be supervised.

@DaVido1008 @tesla_na Some possible differences: • Maybe US insurance market is very different? But my jurisdiction (Alberta) isn’t known for cheap insurance. • I probably get discounts for being a middle-aged professional with a clean history, paying annually, and bundling with my home insurance.

@DaVido1008 @tesla_na That does seem like a lot! My annual premium for my Model 3 is only C$2421 total, so that would be the equivalent of about U$150 total per month. And like I said, I don’t remember it being materially different when I switched from an Audi A6 ICE to a Tesla Model 3 five years ago.
