@jskmap1284 @the_transit_guy We have one of the best trains in the United States ,the Brightline, it's much better then the LIRR which I have also taken many times. It goes from Miami, to FLL, Aventura, WPB, Orlando, and soon Tampa.

@the_transit_guy Tri-Rail is a commuter rail system. It’s not the LIRR by any means, but it is still the same type of system. And Metrorail is not the NYC Subway, but it is still a heavy rail rapid transit system—certainly smaller, but in the same vein as MARTA, BART, or SEPTA’s L or B lines.

If Miami actually had a subway and regional rail system it would be one of the best cities in the country.

25 years ago, Florida was 16% (3M) smaller than New York. Today, Florida is 19% (3.8M) larger.

I know many athletes that just didn't take it to the next level because the offers they were getting were mediocre and it wasn't worth the time & effort

As you realize the college sports you grew up with doesn’t exist anymore, it hits you that it may have all been a facade. The reason these teams below existed was largely to players being exploited with no ability to make money & punished for transferring. NIL introduced….cream rises to the top. In 2012 a guy who fell through the cracks in recruiting would spend 4 years at a mid major and develop there…not anymore. 80% of those players trickle up to make the major conference teams that were losing in 2008 better in 2026. College sports was prob better in 2010 but it was due to a model that unequivocally ripped off athletes. I am open to being wrong here, but the game has changed forever and what we watched years ago was fake.

It should really be up to school whether or not athletes can receive NIL

Pre-NIL as i was, you got a free $200K for 4 years tuition, free meals, a big stipend each semester, per diem $ for every game, and guys played bc they loved the game - not $. 5 years from now, the talent will be alarmingly worse

It’s just wrestling. On January 4th Gabe Arnold wrestled in the finals at the Soldier Salute at 174 pounds. Less than 10 days later Iowa would lose Endene off the roster, and Ferrari sidelined due to injury shortly after. Arnold filled in at 184 until Ferrari’s return, then moved up to fill the hole at 197. He came into the NCAA’s the 27 seed and is now an All-American.
