Staff wellbeing: We carried out an anonymous staff survey over the last month. 61 questions, benchmarked against @eduriocom's national data. Not a single question had responses in aggregate more negative than the national data. Screenshots below.

@danielrbaum So in answer, it will be in summer 24, probably after all exams are completed. Edexcel's website says "Papers from the last nine months are locked so Teachers can use them for mock exams." but they definitely keep them locked for a year from experience.

@vicky_maths I combined shadow papers 2 and 3 and gave it first, to try and outfox them, then gave the shadow non calc, didn’t hear any pupils say they knew what was coming (and they usually do). Mark schemes aren’t as good but workable. Happy to send if you want.

Frustrated, disappointed and angry that the Summer 23 papers and worked solutions are all over TikTok/Insta etc! How on earth do we guarantee the validity of mock exams! If anyone has anything tried and tested I’d be really interested. Thank you

@MrBishop_Maths @mathsjem @mrshawthorne7 @taylorda01 @1stclassmaths We do an option where students sit GCSE statistics in year 10 (which does count for open bucket) and then AQA FM in year 11. Works well for us!

Looking to propose to SLT to have additional maths (edexcel level 2 when available) as an option subject. Has anyone done this at their school probably with the AQA level 2? Positive/negative feedback welcome @mathsjem @mrshawthorne7 @taylorda01 @1stclassmaths

@Miss_Mathsgeek I created an 80 mark tier decision paper that v closely mirrors the paper Edexcel put out for 2018 and 2019. Guidance is 50% but doesn’t say when to take. If taken in October would you change target %? Thank you!
