Breast feed your babies. There is no substitute.
GP Q@argosaki

BREASTMILK She thought she was studying milk. What she uncovered was a conversation. In 2008, evolutionary anthropologist Katie Hinde was working in a primate research lab in California, analyzing breast milk from rhesus macaque mothers. She had hundreds of samples and thousands of data points. Everything looked ordinary—until one pattern refused to go away. Mothers raising sons produced milk richer in fat and protein. Mothers raising daughters produced a larger volume with different nutrient balances. It was consistent. Repeatable. And deeply uncomfortable for the scientific consensus. Colleagues suggested error. Noise. Statistical coincidence. But Katie trusted the data. And the data pointed to a radical idea. Milk is not just nutrition. It is information. For decades, biology treated breast milk as simple fuel. Calories in. Growth out. But if milk were only calories, why would it change depending on the sex of the baby? Katie kept digging. Across more than 250 mothers and over 700 sampling events, the story grew more complex. Younger, first-time mothers produced milk with fewer calories but significantly higher levels of cortisol—the stress hormone. The babies who drank it grew faster. They were also more alert, more cautious, more anxious. Milk wasn’t just building bodies. It was shaping behavior. Then came the discovery that changed everything. When a baby nurses, microscopic amounts of saliva flow back into the breast. That saliva carries biological signals about the infant’s immune system. If the baby is getting sick, the mother’s body detects it. Within hours, the milk changes. White blood cells surge. Macrophages multiply. Targeted antibodies appear. When the baby recovers, the milk returns to baseline. This was not coincidence. It was call and response. A biological dialogue refined over millions of years. Invisible—until someone thought to listen. As Katie reviewed existing research, she noticed something unsettling. There were twice as many scientific studies on erectile dysfunction as on breast milk composition. The first food every human consumes. The substance that shaped our species. Largely ignored. So she did something bold. She launched a blog with a deliberately provocative name: Mammals Suck Milk. It exploded. Over a million readers in its first year. Parents. Doctors. Scientists. People asking questions research had skipped. The discoveries kept coming. Milk changes by time of day. Foremilk differs from hindmilk. Human milk contains over 200 oligosaccharides babies can’t digest—because they exist to feed beneficial gut bacteria. Every mother’s milk is biologically unique. In 2017, Katie brought this work to a TED stage. In 2020, it reached a global audience through Netflix’s Babies. Today, at Arizona State University’s Comparative Lactation Lab, she continues reshaping how medicine understands infant development, neonatal care, formula design, and public health. The implications are staggering. Milk has been evolving for more than 200 million years—longer than dinosaurs walked the Earth. What we once dismissed as simple nourishment is one of the most sophisticated communication systems biology has ever produced. Katie Hinde didn’t just study milk. She revealed that nourishment is intelligence. A living, responsive system shaping who we become before we ever speak. All because one scientist refused to accept that half the story was “measurement error.” Sometimes the biggest revolutions begin by listening to what everyone else ignores.

That isn't insurance, it is theft. All you get a small portion of a medical bill paid in a sick care system. If you are uninsured in many cases the bill is less money than with insurance. I choose to stay away from the sick care model and have a functional medicine chiro that keeps me healthy. I pay out of pocket for "health" care.

I pay about $2,800 a month to Aetna for health insurance for my family. I still have a $5,000 deductible. Even as a doctor, health insurance is really starting to feel like a scam. When I see a patient in clinic as a doctor...all of a sudden, I'm the greedy doctor because my staff is trying to collect $125 for their copay to talk about their 12 medical problems that I can get sued for millions of dollars if I give bad advice. Now Aetna has been automatically downcoding most level 4 visits to level 3, and by billers then have to resubmit the entire visit to get it paid at its appropriate level, a level 4. Could a worse system exist?

My son is a 22 year old unvaxxed virgin and won't even date because the women are all crazy, addicted to social media and not worth the effort. The few slightly older guys he knows have been divorced already. He owns a nice rural house and just works and then goes home. Sad how things have changed in a couple of decades.

I really want to find a wife but man where do I even look? All the girls I work with are whores. All the girls from my university are whores. All the girls I meet on tinder are whores. Where do I even look? Being born in Gen Z is the worst experience ever. I’d gladly give up all this technology and live in the early 1900s if it meant finding a woman worthy of marriage. Thanks a lot feminists. You ruined everything

A massive new study shows updated COVID-19 vaccines slash the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and deaths. A groundbreaking study published in JAMA Internal Medicine shows that updated COVID-19 vaccines offer powerful protection for the heart, reducing the risk of severe cardiovascular events like heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure by almost 40%. Analyzing data from more than 1 million U.S. veterans, researchers discovered that vaccination not only mitigates virus-specific heart damage but also leads to a 6% drop in overall severe cardiovascular disease and a 7% reduction in all-cause hospitalizations and deaths. For every 10,000 people vaccinated, the shot was linked to preventing roughly 23 major cardiovascular events, 30 hospitalizations, and 16 deaths over just an eight-month period. The cardiovascular benefits were most pronounced in adults over age 75 and individuals living with chronic conditions like diabetes, lung disease, or pre-existing heart issues. Doctors emphasize that COVID-19 is far more than a respiratory illness; the virus causes systemic inflammation, blood vessel damage, and clotting, all of which strain the heart. Crucially, vaccinated individuals also saw fewer health complications that were not directly linked to a diagnosed COVID-19 case, suggesting the vaccine may ward off damage from mild or undetected infections. These findings underscore that keeping up with vaccinations is a vital tool for long-term cardiovascular health. source: Cai, M., Xie, Y., & Al-Aly, Z. At a time when America faces huge income and wealth inequality, a broken healthcare system and high prices, the only “policy” the GOP has is to divide us and foster hatred and bigotry. Recently, 2 Muslim Republicans were told to either convert or leave the Texas GOP convention.
Texas Tribune@TexasTribune

A Muslim Texan hoping to participate in the state Republican convention left in tears after after being told explicitly that he should leave the country. Mohamed Hussein was among four Muslims who arrived at the convention in earnest and were met with discussions of Sharia Law that veered into outright Islamophobia. bit.ly/4eo3nfd

@warDaniel47 We use this treatment for our son. It has been transformational. The only side effect was some anxiety attacks in the first month. But, after we got past that, it has been non-stop progress. He's like a normal kid now. Still loves trains and dinosaurs. Who doesn't!

@warDaniel47 They should be tested for the MTHFR gene mutation before giving them any pharmaceutical drug. All they would have to do is take Methylfolate. My understanding is that 20% of the population has a deficiency in the MTHFR gene.
