Her son says he hit a wall to explain how he broke his hand that night and as a parent, you don't believe him but don't press the issue. An officer shows up to question the boy as he's a possible victim because of his injury and a key witness to the accident. He's not in any trouble but needs to give a statement. Do you think her son and the other kids in the car should had gotten into trouble for not reporting the car crash? For at least leaving the scene?
