@TheFP @estherckrakue The ban is more about enacting digital ID in Britain than it is about protecting children. In the US we sue the media companies and force them to develop protections for the vulnerable.

The UK says 16-year-olds are old enough to vote, but too young for Instagram, @estherckrakue reports.

@RobProvince Yup. The opportunities in the market are amazing if some would just stop being worried about what 'Hollywood' thinks.

For the past decade, progressives have been vilifying, ostracizing, cancelling, no-platforming, banning, censoring, and generally attempting to destroy not just anyone who is on the other end of the political spectrum or who disagrees with them, but anyone who dares stand next to, speak to, or fail to denounce those they are directed to hate. It worked for a time, then it didn’t. People got tired of it. They got tired of not being able to speak their minds, of fearing losing their jobs for saying one “wrong” thing, or having to fake it, of not being able to associate with who they like, and of being tarred and feathered for asking the wrong questions or failing to regurgitate the mantras they are directed to. The Democrats lost the last election in part because of this. People just want practical policies and to be able to speak openly and honestly about their beliefs, questions, and concerns. The fact progressives are still playing this cancel culture game tells me they’ve learned nothing, and will keep alienating people as a result. Their loss. x.com/SethAbramson/s…

Nah. I loved that guy, and I generally don't do boycotts, but I'm done with him. It's 2026. If you don't know who the Nazis are yet, I don't need to hear any more from you.

This is interesting: Gavin Newsom attacks branded gasoline at the same he sells an $876 bottle of wine at his PlumpJack winery that he founded with the Getty family. Brands for me but not for thee... Newsom wants people to think his wine is 100 TIMES better and thus 100 times more expensive than wine normal people buy.

As usual, @CAgovernor @GavinNewsom is playing the blame game and misses the point entirely. Branded gas isn't a California-specific problem, nor a grand conspiracy. It costs more nationwide because it's… branded. The real problem lies with California Democrats themselves. 🧵

The Left is pushing for identification to use the internet while pushing for no identification to vote. Think about that.

I am really curious what the mood on BlueSky is about the European tourists loving America during their World Cup visit. I'm already seeing some crazies on Insta suggest it's a CIA op to try and promote America ahead of the 250th, and I'm betting BlueSky is even more bonkers.

Australia banned X for children but not BlueSky. Britain is banning X for children but not BlueSky. This proves one thing. It's not about protecting children. It's about censorship and controlling the narrative.

@chadfelixg I can see something like this happening, people will not be controlled (I hope) and will eschew social media instead.

All at once every child in the UK threw their phones out their windows and gleefully rushed into the streets to play kick ball and tea parties. 'I FINALLY HAVE MY CHILDHOOD BACK,' they cried in unison.

@BobHicks_ @RanTeeThree Also, that quote isn’t really about modern “money in politics” or lobbying in the way people use it today. It’s a general warning about voters responding to incentives in a democracy, not a prediction of PACs, campaign finance, or corporate lobbying

It’s important to know that the social media ban for under 16s is not a ban for under 16s. It is a ban on *selected* social media for EVERYONE. Until you identify yourself.

@EmmanuelShroud @RanTeeThree They did: "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury." (attributed to Ben Franklin)
