Your money already buys less every year. Groceries, housing, fuel — everything costs more while wages for most Canadians have been crushed by inflation and taxes. The globalists have been saying it out loud since at least 2016. In a WEF essay and video titled “Welcome to 2030,” they openly floated the line: “You’ll own nothing. And you’ll be happy.” It was framed as a future where people rent everything instead of owning homes, cars, or appliances. Critics called it a warning. Turns out it was a preview. Carney has been swimming in these circles for years — Davos regular, former Bank of Canada and Bank of England governor, and now Prime Minister. In his January 2026 Davos speech he talked about a “rupture” in the world order and middle powers needing to band together against “great powers” using economic coercion. Meanwhile here at home under his watch: - Cumulative inflation since the Liberals took power has gutted purchasing power. - Housing has become unattainable for an entire generation. - Real wages stagnated while costs exploded. - Federal debt has ballooned past the point of no return. This isn’t some shadowy conspiracy. It’s the predictable result of their policies: endless deficits, money printing, carbon taxes, over-regulation, and mass immigration without matching housing supply. They erode the value of what you own, then offer “solutions” that give them more control over what’s left. Digital IDs and CBDCs are already being discussed. Once they control the money and the data, restricting what you can buy or do becomes trivial. You thought “you’ll own nothing and be happy” was a joke. They weren’t joking. I’d like to thank MP @HonAhmedHussen for co-sponsoring this bill with me and for his counsel. I hope that all MPs will support this legislation. Canada is home to many Canadians of Somali heritage. Canadians of Somali descent have left and continue to leave a historic mark on Canada, with contributions that span communities across the country and are reflected in Canada’s economic, political, social and cultural life. If passed, Somali heritage month would give us an opportunity to celebrate that heritage, the role that Canada has played in supporting Somali Canadians and their contributions to Canada.
