A wonderful event to attend. Players are treated 1st class and get an excellent experience. The talent on display was elite, and gives a great preview of the 2027 WHL draft!

@Sean_B_taketwo @eliteprospects I like Reid in that spot and will likely push that in our next draft-ranking meeting. He's just so polished, &the tools are ridiculous. True first-pair upside. Malholtra in that spot is valid as well -- you hope he has a Suzuki-type impact for your org.

@DanielGScouting @Big_Whee1 @eliteprospects If the Canucks fall to 3rd and McKenna and Stenberg are gone who would you take? I like Malhotra but a lot of scouts still seem to see him as likely topping out as a 2C, and there seems to be a growing consensus that Reid is the next best player after McKenna and Stenberg.

Chase Reid is the ultimate upside/certainty player in this draft. High-end ideas and tools, shoots right, very mobile, physical, and daring. His developmental trajectory is unheard of. @Big_Whee1 @eliteprospects Strong connector and a very daring handler-- blends this together ( Advantage creation --> playmaking ). Projectable scoring tools, detailed off-puck, defensive upside, too. Skating needs significant work. Likely the top centre in the draft, but it's a weak year for centres.
