@__MPMS__ The AMS 2 is kind of lame - you can't dry and print at the same time with current firmware. Sunlu makes an AMS heater add-on for the original AMS that works pretty good - you can't control it from the Bambu software, but it goes to 70C and can dry while you're printing.

I did the thing! Minus the ams, hard pass when i saw it only gets up to 65c

@Erock4444 Iran sucks but I'm not sure killing the animals in my literal backyard to reduce gas by fifty cents a gallon to send servicemen to die in a far flung country and benefit oil companies and inside trading politicians is exactly a bargain

Kind of wild no one is talking about the fact that *as of today* oil companies can kill literally any animal in the Gulf of Mexico no matter how endangered

Is there good news on X? How do I curate my feed to give me a break once in awhile? Dog adoption videos, golden retrievers eating, genuine reactions of humans getting something they worked hard for? Something to break up the darkness.

@Vamppy_ @LukeWarmDesigns What temperature did you run the drier at? It's tough to get nylon completely dry unless you get it fairly hot.

You talking about the lines like this. Honestly I just thought that was normal. As I said this was only my 2nd attempt. 1st one I did failed. The filament should be dry. Its been a dry box with a dehydrator for about a month and then was in a heated filament dryer for the last 4 days roughly. I will say though I did hear the fan turn on and off ever so quickly every now and then. You think that could have been it? Im new to nylons so I honestly dont know.

This is only my 2nd attempt using pa6-GF25 or any nylon filament for that matter. I think its a success for me. Not sure what I else I can do to make it much better.

@stephenRB4 I’ll give a book that is highly recommended and has stood the test of time 5-6 chapters. I’ll give a contemporary book one, I’ve stopped reading a book after one page though. And, yes, it was that bad.

@NervoShoal @FalconryFinance No, it was 1381 grams. Silver is around $2.25 per gram right now, so around $3000. That's for pure silver, but I doubt the process shown produces high-quality, high-purity silver, so it probably brings in a lower price than that.

@GothamKnowledge The Apollo Program took place during some of the most tumultuous times in US history w/ the Vietnam War & Civil Rights Movements. Looking back, it was a bright light in otherwise uncertain times. I chose to cherish these moments, because it can be a beacon of hope for humanity.

@Erdayastronaut It's hard to get excited about a rerun of something that was already done six decades ago. Would you be super jazzed if someone "invented" color TV in 2026? We should have been living on Mars by now. Looping a little capsule around the moon feels pretty anticlimactic.

Hey 3d print bros, for a multiboard style gun wall should I use Nylon-CF or PETG-CF? Do I need an AMS HT for CF or does an AMS 2 work? Is one better for plates and the other better for hooks or just the same material for everything?
