Some pools do have a lifeguard and sometimes it can be a teen, but not during the schoolday. IIRC in that show it's summer vacation so it makes sense.

@orangefroman @eigenrobot Generally speaking, you can move power from one area of the country to another via the country-wide grid so the actual location of the power plant itself doesn't matter too much - but you can cut off parts of the grid, in theory, and neutralize the plants in the cut-off parts.

This is one of my favorite quotes of all time. I’m amazed by it every time I come across it. I agree with every word and sentiment in it. Yet I know the author intended me to feel shame or embarrassment for thinking it be better to land on the moon and build than dance in the mud on earth. Progressivism is obsessed with the least of us. Not in an “all human have dignity we should care for the poor” kind of way. But in a “civilization ending stands in the way of any achievement or endeavor until the end of time” kind of way. You spend billions on space, but not the poor? You spend billions on the human genome project, but not the poor? You spend billions on AI but not the poor? You spend millions on the glorification of God and human artistic achievement, but not the poor? Wherever mankind can be found growing above, creating, inventing, exploring, there is a progressive there to remind him he should be dancing in the mud with the rest of them.

That being said, in most countries the grid is entirely interconnected so it makes no actual difference. So yes, all power plants are valid targets.
