UPDATE: Over the past week, the Trump Administration took more concrete action to eradicate the Somali fraud scandal in Minnesota, with much more still to come. — @VP announced the creation of a new Assistant Attorney General position with nationwide jurisdiction over fraud investigations and legal action. — @TheJusticeDept deployed more prosecutors to the state, doubling the number of attorneys working on fraud cases. — @USDA suspended all federal funding to Minnesota until the state takes action to verify funds are used on legitimate purposes and eligible recipients. — @USTreasury announced targeted actions, surveillance, and audits against financial institutions complicit in laundering fraudulent funds overseas, and announced rewards for whistleblowers providing information on the scandal. — @CMSGov announced a full audit of Minnesota’s Medicaid billing receipts and will claw back fraudulent claims from future funding. — @HHSGov cut off an additional $10 billion in federal funding from five Democrat-run states ripe with fraud, including Minnesota. — @DHSgov deployed an additional 2,000 law enforcement agents to the Twin Cities to assist with law enforcement, immigration enforcement, and fraud investigations.
