I don’t often make tweets, but I finished top 50 globally and rank 1 in the Netherlands for the last season of Silph playing only OGL, which I think is kinda nice :3 I will definitely miss it though, Silph connected so many players and allowed for so many great friendships!

@tabeebFPS @popsvoiceYT @demoore11c I think the part where we disagree is the amount where talent plays a role in results. You talk to most pro’s in various games nowadays and they’ll tell you that when they first picked up their game they were already getting better results than the average player

are all current pros natural talent or is there a dude who was legit like hardstuck and terrible but clawed his way up? that guy would probably be an insane coach if he existed

@tabeebFPS @popsvoiceYT @demoore11c The point is more though that a there are a lot of people out there that put more hours into the game than the pro’s, but don’t get to the same level because they don’t have the talent

@popsvoiceYT @demoore11c key point being through practice. im not denying the existence of talent, but people act like they loaded up the game and got t500 in 4 hours. i think this mindset belittles how much they practiced to get to their level

Unpopular opinion: the Team Rocket battles have felt significantly better the last several days. They're definitely *tweaking* the new system, and it's starting to feel a little better. Anyone else notice this or am I blowing smoke up my own ass? LOL

@dracoviz I still don’t understand why they even bother keeping pichu and staryu in that list, unless they will be capping near the 1500s sometime in the future? 🤔

@InadequancePOGO I fear the final version is just this clunkiness you see with rocket battles, but without the lag and the wrong CMP’s. I don’t like it at all and want the old system to just stay

@lundberger @CalebPeng @MaryushZ_ @Stonecollection I don’t fault any of the players in this regard. Not to mention that it’s easier to make mistakes on stream because of the circumstances. It’s just for me as a spectator the pools of NA regionals are not worth it to watch

@KeysSSB @CalebPeng @MaryushZ_ @Stonecollection I hate this take. It’s true to a certain degree, but also our player base in EU is going down. Compare that to NA, where it’s much more difficult/expensive to travel around, and the game is growing. We need less experienced players to play, gain experience, and become top level.

During the Grand Finals interview, StoneCollection said "NA is kind of free." Here's a side by side comparision of his regional performances this season in both regions. He might have a point.

@CalebPeng @MaryushZ_ @Stonecollection But even then you could watch like winners semi’s of an average regional in NA and you’ll see players constantly make mistakes to the point where it’s not fun to watch. You don’t really have this in EU. Good gameplay in NA starts in top 8, good gameplay in EU starts in top 32

I don't have any data to dispute that claim but for context, all the phones at the tables had an Apple issue so they had to pause all of the matches outside of the streamed matches. As a result, they ended up featuring a lot of Round 1 and Round 2 matches that they typically wouldn't feature that far into the stream. I'm not saying you're wrong, but there were definitely a lot more less experienced players on stream than usual because of that on Day 1.
