This is what it’s like walking into @OaklawnRacing with an hour and a half to first post. Definitely gives off the Saratoga and Keeneland vibes.

💔 RIP Faithann Hope Goza 🕊️ My mother passed away peacefully in her sleep last night following her fight with cancer. She was 69 years old. She was an amazing mother and while she spoiled me as her only child, she also instilled in me so many important values and ethics that have sustained me throughout my life. She supported me in everything I did and was proud of every achievement no matter how small. She encouraged my creativity from the time I was a child as she would type the stories I made up and left room on each page for us to illustrate with my drawings. Then she would laminate the pages and bind them so I show off my book. That’s just one small example of the countless things she did throughout my life to encourage me. She was a brilliant woman who read constantly, was gifted with her hobbies of needlepoint and crochet, and loved her British detective shows. She also loved horse racing. As a little girl in the early 60s, her grandfather would take her to the track and she loved betting on the greys. One of my favorite recent memories was taking her to the Virginia Derby at Colonial Downs about four years ago as she lived an hour from the track but had never been. She marveled at Irad Ortiz Jr. winning everything that day and loved seeing the races. I will miss her so much but I’m so lucky that I got to spend the last two months caring for her and being with her. Yes, there were tough days this last months and sleepless nights, but she ultimately passed on her own terms and did so with dignity. I share this because it’s important to love and appreciate your parents and loved ones every day. I’m so thankful for all of my friends and colleagues who offered messages of support during this time. I appreciate you all and your words meant more to me than you know. I love you, mom and already miss you.

Charlsie Cantey was a constant presence in horse racing coverage on television starting in the mid-1970s and for thirty years on. The former exercise rider helped pave the way for the many women who work in racing media today. bit.ly/40HLgdK?utm_so…

Dear Racing Community, This Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs is a huge one for us: Powershift in the Tampa Bay Derby, Time to Dream in the Florida Oaks, Disruptor in the Challenger. But last Saturday at Gulfstream was different. No stakes horses. Just a maiden and an allowance runner. Our races were early. My ADHD was kicking in 😂, so instead of rolling in 50-deep with the usual chaos and preparation, I went to the track with my childhood friend of 40 years and my 10-year-old daughter, Gioia. No entourage. No spotlight. Just us. And it hit me. I was 13 again. Going to the track with my friends. Falling in love with this sport. Now I get to share that same feeling with Gioia. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d have a bond this strong with my daughter, built in large part around the racetrack and these horses. Over the last 10 years she’s learned lessons you can’t teach in high school, college, or an MBA program: Joy. Anxiousness. Winning. Losing. Grit. Failure. Partnership. Family. Passion. The racetrack has been a classroom. The Thoroughbred has been the teacher. That’s why my fight has never been about power. It’s never been about control. It’s about protecting this sport for the next generation, for daughters like mine. I left that modest race day emotionally spent. People from 10 to 90 years old came up to me. Handshakes. Encouragement. “Keep going.” “Don’t stop.” “We’re with you.” It meant more than you know. Two days earlier, @PatCummingsNTA, @AronWellman7 and @AnitaMotion hosted an @EclipseTBP Town Hall on the state of this movement and the issues with the @JockeyClub. The 23-minute opening was clear, powerful, and courageous. Aron’s explanation of why he chose to add his voice after patiently watching this unfold for three years was compelling. I understand not everyone likes my tone or my style. But this isn’t figure skating and I’m not here for style points. Horse racing is at a fork in the road. One path is comfortable and leads to a dead end. The other is harder. Longer. Uncomfortable. But it leads to a bigger, brighter, sustainable future. I’ve always chosen the harder road. If you love this sport, if you care about the people in it, and most importantly, if you care about the Thoroughbred, please listen to that 23-minute opening. This mission has always been about three things: The sport. The people. And above all, the horse. Thank you.

Corey Feldman tried telling everyone Hollywood was full of pedophiles in 2013 and got yelled at for it... - You're damaging an entire industry! - This clip hits different in 2026. He also defended Michael Jackson and said he was the only one NOT to take advantage of him.
