This lady had a final deportation order. Both her and her daughter were here illegally. They will be taken to a facility where they will be cared for then receive transportation to their home country, free of charge.

Pretending? Kid, I've been watching Star Trek since I sat down on the couch as at 8 years old as my Dad watched TOS reruns. There isn't a single Episode of the crap produced in NuTrek that holds a candle to the worst episode of Old Trek, maybe the space slugs in Voyager.
I love Trek so much that it has pained me to watch the Movies and TV created that isn't worthy of Roddenberry's vision to the tune of $1.6 billion.
Starve the franchise of cash so the grifters leave. Rebirth in the future back to Roddenberry's vision.

"right wing" - this implies a minority of political opinion. Yet, this show tanked. It tanked when the primary core fans for the past 60 years were by definition "progressive" or at least not highly conservative. "Right wingers" aren't the cause for its failure. It's everybody else that didn't bother watching.
The person in this thread clearly is not a Trek Fan. They are part of the extreme minority that thought this trash was good, if they even watched it.
I watched it, because I'm a completionist. It was horrific. I know people all over the spectrum that hated it... because it wasn't Star Trek.
