One of my favorite parts about the McGonigle story is he never strayed from what he knew he could do. Never rushed, never let the noise dictate his pace. He just played. He knew his timetable better than anyone and now we’re seeing how his simplistic approach to his development has paid off. I’m thrilled for him.

Predictions the morning of 3/24: - McGonigle makes the roster. Perez is optioned. - SGL is put on the IL60 to make room for Mickey G. The 30-day rehab window for pitchers is the tiebreaker here. He can ramp up in extended for a month even if he's slightly ahead of that schedule, then have a 30-day rehab into late May. Horn could be this move too but the ramp-up and rehab window better fits a starter like SGL. - De Jesus grabs the last pen spot over Hanifee (I thought last night's game was a big tell).
