@bigreggie2k @Its_Strez There’s nothing to debate. The defense we saw wasn’t the regular season defense. Saying “best pass defense” is disingenuous when there key injuries.
English

@ChrisDokish If you want to keep watching soft zone defense then McDermott is your guy.
English

@SquirrelTew @jasonrmcintyre Nahh game should’ve ended in regulation after the refs missed a blatant PI on the Broncos.
English

@jasonrmcintyre I say this as a non-Broncos fan. You’re not getting “universal” agreement. I agree with the refs call and the tweet below proves the refs were right. Also, the game should’ve ended with a Broncos victory on a safety in OT when the Bills were blatantly holding in the Endzone.

Excellent look at the INT in overtime. Cooks never had the ball secured and didnt survive the ground. McMillian took a loose ball right off Cooks chest.
English

rarely do you get the internet universally agreeing the refs got this one terribly wrong
Dan Orlovsky@danorlovsky7
This in an NFL playoff game got ruled an interception and ended Buffalo’s season?!!?? This is a catch every time
English

@Steelers_DB His insistence on playing zone defense vs Sean Payton was a death sentence
English

I would have been on board with this last year, but thought McDermott did some really good things down the stretch.
But if Brandon Beane doesn't go with him, none of this will matter.
Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero
The Bills fired Sean McDermott, sources tell The Insiders.

I can not think of a time where I have seen so many former #NFL officials or current members of the rules committee posting on this app.
Blatant damage control.
English

Did anyone ask about Mims who clearly did not “complete the process of the catch” when the ball bobbled after he hit the ground with it on his TD?
Mike Garafolo@MikeGarafolo
Referee Carl Cheffers says #Bills WR Brandin Cooks lost possession of the ball as he hit the ground. “The defender is the one that completed the process of the catch, so the defender was awarded the ball.”
English

@agetzenberg “He was going to the ground as part of the process of the catch and he lost possession of the ball when he hit the ground”
This perfectly describes the Mims catch that was ruled a TD by the same officials in the same game.
English

@Cyber_Cowboy_B @HangsWithWolves @complicatedbull @grantpaulsen Of course a Chiefs fan is going to hopelessly simp for the refs. I should’ve known better…
English

@RealGDMaxwell @HangsWithWolves @complicatedbull @grantpaulsen Read the feckin rule book dumbass. You’re too stupid for me to continue this conversation.

English

@Cyber_Cowboy_B @HangsWithWolves @complicatedbull @grantpaulsen If simply breaking the plane ends the play then so does being down with the ball pressed against your chest with a defender touching you. Come on if you can’t see that catches are entirely subjective then idk what you’re watching.
English

@RealGDMaxwell @HangsWithWolves @complicatedbull @grantpaulsen They never have been. Comparing a catch/int in the field of play to a catch plus a 2.5 step “football move”, breaking the plane and thinking the player should have to survive a fall to the ground after that is asinine. Breaking the plane with possession ends the play—touchdown.
English

@Cyber_Cowboy_B @HangsWithWolves @complicatedbull @grantpaulsen I’ve read it already. It’s subjective. So the only thing refs can do is be consistent. Which they weren’t.
English

@RealGDMaxwell @HangsWithWolves @complicatedbull @grantpaulsen Reading cures ignorance.

English

@Cyber_Cowboy_B @HangsWithWolves @complicatedbull @grantpaulsen Why didn’t Mims have to survive the ground?
English

@butapaltrything @NFLFrascella That’s what I said. The football move is irrelevant, so he has to survive the ground. And when he doesn’t have that firm control, it’s not a catch.
English

@ftierprogrammer @hundosxunltd @ryanwhitney6 @spittinchiclets And the refs screwed that up too. Cooks caught that.
English

@hundosxunltd @ryanwhitney6 @spittinchiclets And then Buffalo pissed the game away in OT by throwing a deep ball for no reason when they could’ve gotten 15 more yards and kicked a field goal to win.
English

@AustinRBechtold People would rather us go 3-13 like Shanahan did in Washington in 2013 because at least he had a good coaching tree and that matters more than winning.
English

Bruce Arians was on Cowher’s staff. Todd Haley and Brian Flores were already head coaches.
Dom, what are we doing here??
Dom DiTommaso@DomDiTommaso
@TheOleWildBill Bruce Arians, Todd Haley, and Brian Flores is a tree. Not the best one, but a tree. The larger point is it doesn't matter. Look at Belichick's, John Harbaugh's, Sean Payton's, etc
English

@Zebug13 @RekadarDJ @MikedUpSports1 He’s basically this year’s version of what Justin Fields was last year. A guy with more bad tape than good that’ll still somehow command up to $20 million per year.
English

@RekadarDJ @MikedUpSports1 What's a shot though? He's not signing a one year prove it deal. Maybe 2 years 30-40M range. Why not just roll with Will Howard for a lot less and use that money elsewhere? If he sucks we're set at next year's draft, if he's good you got your guy. Tis where I'm at
