I have more contempt for these two types of people than the red hat cultists. They actively worked to enable the return of Trump despite understanding exactly what kind of person he is.

If defeating Trump was a matter of life or death, as all Dems claimed it was, they shouldn't have run a weak candidate, regardless of her race and sex. Persuading themselves they had no choice was profoundly neurotic, as I said at the time. Their neurosis let Trump win.
Opie 🚂@showmeopie

“Imperatives born of racial neurosis” is one way of saying we shouldn’t have run the sitting Vice President because she happened to be a Black woman I guess.

@AliceFromQueens The Democratic Party had zero interest in defeating Trump, and would’ve pursued the same foreign policy if they had somehow ended up “winning” anyway.

I’ll give this guy credit. He’s found the best possible defense of Trump’s post.
LDSLawyer@LDSLaw

@BY1959 @KyleyNorman Lol. You folks are acting like this is the worst thing Trump has ever said. It's not even in the top 50. Stop with the posturing and the pretending. You actually don't care about Bob Mueller.

@JohnMcCloy @M3mph1sB @JackPosobiec Aside from the mocking you’re deservedly receiving, your post wasn’t even accurate. The number one reason for the inflation you whined about was the stimulus checks sent out in 2020, which Trump put his name on. Number two was supply chains (which is why inflation was global).

@M3mph1sB @JackPosobiec People really have no idea how staggering prices are now from printing all this money for the migrants and to send to Ukraine.

@S_Directive @agraybee My first thought was "huh? Why the fuck would she do that?" and then I remembered Trump did do that for Kirk 🫩 on the Department of Ed, too right?

He refused to apologize for chasing down a black jogger. Defiantly insisting he did nothing wrong.

*deep sigh* ok, fine. let's do this once again... The issue with Fetterman v Lamb was not an issue of 'progressive' ideology, it was a matter of ignoring numerous red flags that he was a very 'off' person not suited for congress, mainly b/c people fell in love with his aesthetic
Annie Wu (all socials: @annie_wu_22)@Annie_Wu_22

Lamb ran to the right of Fetterman on every issue except for Israel. In the 2022 primary debate (pre-stroke) that was abundantly clear. Let’s stop re-writing history. Conor was never some progressive champion and at the time was the most moderate of the 3 primary candidates.

Not a word about how Obama went on a political rant during Jesse Jackson’s funeral. Biden too. By “presidents” he means “Republican presidents” who do not get nonstop media praise.
Conor Friedersdorf@conor64

Presidents shouldn't behave publicly in ways that set a bad example for children. If a president does this regularly, you should not support him. If you do, you'll be likelier to compromise your own morals to accommodate his degeneracy.

Perhaps unsurprising, but gay men have much, much lower marriage rates than do lesbian or straight couples.

@FBurnsEatsWorms @jessesingal To be clear, it’s acceptable to celebrate the passing of an elderly person from natural causes? I’m bookmarking this. You can be certain that I’ll return one day.

@jessesingal Not really an apt comparison, between an old guy dying of natural causes versus a young conservative icon assassinated on a public stage. Not to say that Trump's statement today is appropriate by any means.
