£27.5k is the next goal. Always been a fan of 2.5 increments and keeping the goals bitesize. Keeps the motivation. Needs a little input from my side though.

Argentina winning has done absolutely nothing to change the fundamentals of $MELI. Will I still use it as an excuse to want to buy more? Of course. Unfortunately, payday remains undefeated. 🇦🇷📈

What feels more likely? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England getting the job done tonight. or 🕊️ The US-Iran peace deal making it through Friday without fresh complications. One involves 22 people chasing a ball. The other involves decades of mistrust, regional politics and competing narratives. Oddly, I’m backing England.

@ShiftToFreedomX Changes the complexion a little from gambling which sometimes I do feel people get sucked into. You can argue efficiency of companies who reinvest rather than pay dividends but either way for us. We see a return in some form especially if you hold long term

@SherlockInvests Exactly , those dividends payments help psychologically keep me going. May not be the most efficient way of investing but keeps me consistent on investing in my etf aswell

People underestimate how motivating it is seeing dividends land in your account. Not because of what they buy today. But because they remind you that your money is quietly going to work while you sleep. Small streams become rivers, dear reader.

Genuine question though: If BP and Shell broadly follow the same trends and have similar dividend yields, how does £200 in one outperform £100 in each? If BP and Shell both rise 10%, £200 still becomes £220 either way. I understand the argument for conviction if you believe one is materially better than the other. What I don’t understand is how diversification alone “restricts gains.”

@SherlockInvests You must be very indecisive if you can't choose between BP and Shell 🤣 but all you are doing is restricting your gains! I would definitely sell one of those and add all the money to the other!

🚨 FANTASTIC NEWS THE OUTRAGE MERCHANTS WON’T TWEET! 🚨 UK inflation stays steady at 2.8% in May 2026, unchanged from April! That’s brilliant for the UK, especially with everything going on. You won’t hear the usual outrage merchants saying a word about it though, because it doesn’t fit their favourite narrative. Meanwhile the Eurozone has gone up to 3.2% and the States are at 4.2%. We’re actually doing better than both of them right now. Proper good effort. 👏👏👏👏👏👇👇👇
