I made $370k last year. I spent $75k. The gap is the whole game. Lifestyle inflation is the silent killer of people who finally start earning real money. I've watched it happen to everyone around me. Income is not wealth. The delta is.

My Bitcoin position is down 28%. My index funds are up 40-57%. Should I sell the Bitcoin and go all in on index funds? Genuinely curious what you'd do.

@boondockmillion If the current administration establishes the framework for a crypto based financial system there may not be any turning back is what I was getting at.

@cashrulesNC Most people make the goals but have trouble with the day to day grind. You are doing it right.

Not sure if this makes sense but I’m good at grinding day to day. Terrible at long term planning. But somehow I tend to hit my goals faster than I planned, just to learn I didn’t really care about that goal

@koremasa21022 5-6 months worth at all times. I don't have kids but I do have multiple properties so I need a larger buffer anyways.

@WealthMechanic1 Absolutely, and very valid point. How much cash do you keep in case of an event like that?

I’m 28 and I don’t have an emergency fund. I see all the finance experts and gurus saying you need up to 6 months of savings sitting in cash. I think it’s a serious opportunity cost when that money could be allocated to a vehicle that generates double digit returns annually. Also, with Robinhood Gold I can sell any equities and have cash same day if needed. I know the counter is that the market could be down exactly when I need the cash. But over a long enough time horizon I’d rather take that risk than have idle cash for years. Am I being too risky?

@RolfOptions You need to create the longest runway possible for yourself. Most people fail to realize this until they are in their 30's and 40's. Agree?

It's never genuinely too late to start building wealth. Some start at 15, some at 30, some at 50. The most important factor is not the specific age when you start. It's that you actually start and then stay consistent for as long as you can. How the Stock Market and Options Trading Can Transform You From Poor to Rich | Chapter 4

The S&P 500 is up 40% from last year and nobody is talking about it. Is everyone waiting for the crash or did we just forget how to be bullish?

FUN FACT: Had Bill Gates kept all his original $MSFT shares since IPO, he would be richer than Elon Musk today at $1.5T in net worth. But instead, he is not even on this list. Wild!

🇺🇸 FED DECISION TODAY. 2:00 PM ET. Kevin Warsh's first real test as Chair. Hold: priced in at 98%. Nothing moves. Cut: almost impossible with inflation at 4.2%. Hike: the real tail risk. Dollar spikes, risk assets bleed. The rate is the decoy. The dot plot is the story.
