The birthright citizenship case this morning is really more about politics than it is the law. If the Administration loses nothing of substance will change. But the debate has been joined, and taken to the very highest level of discourse. Two years ago no one would have even imagined this issue would be before the Supreme Court. But Pres. Trump FORCED it there. As is true in many areas of his second term, he has swung for the fences on this topic. It is worth the effort but it falls in the category of "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." Even an adverse decision won't end the debate. It will simply redirect the debate to a different forum where the political branches will need to confront it. The Democrats and open border advocates among the socialists and communists never imagined that the building of their constituencies would come under attack in this fashion. But the debate has exposed that this is about so much more that migrant illegals coming to the US and starting families, with their children being citizens. This is about a vulnerability to our country, our governance, and our culture to the deliberate and purposeful colonization via mass third-world migration with malicious political, cultural, and religious goals.

@AnonPsych2 Clerkenwell did a talk about psychedelic-assisted therapy and they observed that there were a subset of therapists they identified as "super shrinks" who caused symptoms to drop precipitously compared to others. youtube.com/watch?v=verR9M…

@AnonPsych2 The correlation is very limited as they showed. Even assuming the Compass protocol is downplaying benefits, including psychotherapy in a clinical trial protocol introduces way too many variables.

@Zetaboy69 @PsychedVantage @AnonPsych2 Integration is done the next day and not on the day of administration. All these sessions are recorded so will be pretty easy for FDA when determining REMS.

@PsychedVantage @AnonPsych2 Psychiatric nurses are likely able to support patients effectively during dosing sessions - integration using the Compass model is very different however and more akin to talk therapy than nursing.

Really excellent & rigorous article making the case that "psychological support" (Compass' model, specifically) is psychotherapy. "Describing an arguably bona fide psychotherapeutic treatment as “psychological support” comes with a set of potentially problematic implications."

Bloomberg is out with an article discussing how OpenAI’s attempts at turning ChatGPT into a super app are failing They note developers complain about a tedious app-approval process with a buggy coding system and a lack of usage data. They receive very limited analytics on their app’s performance leaving them running blind, unlike IOS app developers They also provide examples from companies like $STUB and $BKNG on how they no longer see ChatGPT as a big marketing driver Unlike Anthropic, I haven’t seen a positive article on OpenAI in what has felt like months. Sentiment feels terrible with the exception of maybe a few Codex achievements. Sora discontinued, online shopping has been a bust per $WMT, spending guidance cut, just to name a few Can’t wait till OpenAI goes public and we can see what it’s really worth

2018 was a D+8.6 national year and people were saying Trump would be impeached and removed out of sheer deranged anger at him. And the only thing that happened in the Senate is that Red states went Red, a ~5pt Arizona went Blue because of McSally/McCain/Flake, and 2-term incumbents in MT WV and OH held their seats. 2020 was freaking Covid and -33% Q2 SAAR GDP and BLM riots and everyone was saying Biden 413 and Schumer 57 but Susan Collins and Thumb Tillis both won reelection. There were no states where opposite parties won the senate and the presidency. And Georgia was fluky; incumbent Perdue almost won the first round anyway. SENATE FLIPS OF DOUBLE-DIGIT STATES ARE EXTREMELY RARE, even if a seat is fully open.

New Article, possibly my last for a while. I've spent two years figuring out how to make a two-person law firm compete with teams twenty times its size using AI. This is the closest I'll come to explaining how. Also explains why I can type “plz fix” and get back work product that reads like I spent three hours on it, when really I spent three hundred hours building the system that did.

@flobrand Almost every open label trial of 5 Meo-DMT show serious reactivation risks after day of administration. I have seen some of the toad venom ritual videos and they look violent with epileptic convulsions. Are ATAI and GH downplaying the risks here? nymag.com/intelligencer/…

For our merger arbitrage fund, we have several AI agents that do preliminary analytical grunt work extremely quickly. For example, we have Equity Research Analyst agent that writes an initiating coverage report on the merger target. Next, we have our Legal M&A Analyst agent, that summarizes merger agreements and proxy statements, and our Antitrust Analyst agent, that analyzes market shares along with the DOJ / FTC, EC, China SAMR, and other global regulators would view the deal, in addition to ascribing probabilities of antitrust clearance / 2nd requests / merger challenges. One major advantage is these agents are now excellent (equivalent to a top bucket human analyst and a huge increase in capability over the past 12 months) and execute extremely quickly (second/minutes compared to hours/days for a human).

the only viable US biotechs going fwd are: i) novel platform tech (better way to find target, have better selectivity, or super power efficacy in a particular modality) OR ii) clinical team that can "king-make" a best in class mlc from China or an AI shop (ie uniquely experienced team for a particular disease indication that has specific expertise for shepherding programs through difficult to execute indications eg rare disease, respiratory, etc) every co in the middle (potential best in class mlc w/o differentiated clinical team, me-better approaches, and even novel targets without unique clinical strategy) is on the clock

Published what I would consider our first real research paper yesterday. The topic? AI agents are becoming a new operating system layer - sitting between users and every application they touch. The applications become databases. The agents become the product. We built a five-dimension competitive framework and mapped 50+ companies as structural winners, structural losers, or positions where the bull and bear cases are both credible. We also examine what we call the content flood - AI collapsing the marginal cost of producing content, code, and creative output. When supply is infinite, distribution becomes the bottleneck. The implications run counter to prevailing consensus in several cases.
