ICE at polling places isn’t voter intimidation; it’s common-sense election security.
Legal American citizens have nothing to fear and everything to gain. This stops non-citizens from illegally voting and diluting our voices.
The airport ops are the perfect test run. Secure borders = secure elections.
Steve Bannon: “We can use this, ICE helping at airports, as a test run, a test case, to really perfect ICE’s involvement in the 2026 midterms.
Mike Davis: “I think we should have ICE agents at the polling places”
Saying the quiet part out loud.
@RpsAgainstTrump@TheSensibleProg If you’re a legal citizen you shouldn’t have to worry about ICE being at polling places. I’m not sure why people are upset with this.
I just saw a quote that said, “You worry too much for someone who figures it out every time” and I feel like I’m not the only one who needs to hear that.
@svenNormac@rahulcreates95@marchaslam1@JonFlynnREstats That’s unheard of here. 🤯 We’re at $225 a square foot, and they are all due for roofs, siding, fences, appliances, are dated, so flooring, etc, and we have high property taxes bc we don’t have state taxes. 20% on a 30yr is 100k minimum to avoid PMI.
@buttonhatesyou@rahulcreates95@marchaslam1@JonFlynnREstats Yeah, that is gross. I’m glad my areas CoL is relatively low
Average and livable homes are around $150,000+. I found a steal of a house 3 bed 2 bath with a 2 room office in the back yard for $100,000. Didn’t need much work. Wish I bought it but I didn’t want to move abt an hr
Spoke to a friend today, he’s been renting a place for 8 years, paying $1,125/mo.
Landlord emailed him tells him he wants $1,725/mo and if he doesn’t like it he can move out.
I told him to email the landlord back and tell him to check the rules.
@svenNormac@rahulcreates95@marchaslam1@JonFlynnREstats In my neighborhood, the homes are brown. So much brown. The tile, the Baltic brown granite, the dark cabinets, the Monterey drag wall texture and rounded corners and they’re huge, so the $$ are near a million and all every house needs an update. It’s gross.
@buttonhatesyou@rahulcreates95@marchaslam1@JonFlynnREstats My original comment was general, I wasn’t specifically talking abt you,
I did assume you were poor though, which I’ll apologize about.
And yes the system needs to change, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still relatively easy to buy a house (just expensive)
@svenNormac@rahulcreates95@marchaslam1@JonFlynnREstats 🤷♀️ You assumed someone who knows they can’t afford a mortgage is poor or has bad credit, when maybe, they just don’t care to be house poor, and are actually smart with their money. Doesn’t change the fact that the system needs to change.
@buttonhatesyou@KingZahyd@Softnessa_ It’s not a myth though. Retrograde flow is the myth, stupid. People CAN make their cramps worse by a lot of movement. Not everyone, but some, which is why there’s the asterisk not to do something if it’s too much. Guess how I know this!!
Male yoga instructor: "Don't do this inversion if you're menstruating."
Me: [doesn't do the inversion]
Male yoga instructor to me: [loudly, with an angry, annoyed tone] "Why aren't you doing the inversion?!"
Me: "I'm on my period. You JUST SAID not to do it if you're on your period. Thanks for making me announce it to the entire class, though"
WHY ARE MEN 😩😩😩
@rahulcreates95@marchaslam1@JonFlynnREstats Yeah, sooooo, that’s not how mortgage worthiness is calculated. Literally everyone knows this, and there’s no legal remedy for it. Rent payments aren’t even reported to the 3 bureaus. Terrible take.
@marchaslam1@JonFlynnREstats can’t qualify for a mortgage or low credit score could be one of the reason, i agree, but amount of rent he is paying steadily month after month for 8 years straight could easily buy him atleast decent living place .
