We are proud of the rapid progress that’s been made both in financing and developing our data center in Saline Township, Michigan. We hit a major milestone with the vertical construction of the campus now underway. This massive effort is moving forward on time and according to plan. Together with OpenAI, Related Digital, Bank of America, and Walbridge, we are building America’s AI infrastructure, creating local jobs, and investing in the local community.

@con247c @SnazzyLabs @Cernovich Oof, that sounds like a headache. Good to know that winning the lottery has to come before booking the flights! Thanks for the heads up, going to apply now and hope I get in

@chip3dprinted @SnazzyLabs @Cernovich yeah, unfortunately most of the popular NPs require your trip planned 6+ months out if you want full access. Even then, you aren't guaranteed with lotteries. If you absolutely want to do something sometimes you need to win the lottery first then plan the trip around the win.

Mormons have told me that Salt Lake City has degraded so badly that when foreign LDS members come in, the elders and etc try to keep them away from non-Mormon run areas. That's disgraceful. Take your state back. No more of this fake nice stuff.

@SnazzyLabs @Cernovich I’m thinking of going to Salt Lake City for vacation. What should I do there. I had planned Zion and didn’t realize until late that it is roughly 3 hours away? Still going of course

@davepl1968 As we can see in the image, there's an answer. When download, data flows downwards, falling quickly and on its own. When upload, it flows upwards, and gravity prevents it from doing so, so it's twice as slow.

Does anyone know why, at all defaults, I'd get 25Gbe in one direction and 10Gbe in the other direction? Same transceiver on both ends (25Gbe fiber 10GTek)

Unpopular opinion: don't buy the Minisforum MS-R1 for your general home server. For $500–600, you're getting performance that barely beats a Pi 5 in some benchmarks. A used Intel NUC or the Minisforum MS-01 will beat it in raw speed and compatibility. Unless you specifically need ARM for development or that dual 10GbE at low wattage, stick to x86 for now. I wanted to love this thing. The hardware story is great — PCIe slot, dual 10GbE, proper UEFI. The execution just isn't there yet. What's powering your home server right now?

@chip3dprinted @IntCyberDigest Not quite, you can't really move the controller around if it's with a Unifi Console, the way to secure this is to just put a good Deny rule in. Do a Deny rule on any subnet that should NOT access the controller GUI for port 443 and 80.

@planedrop @IntCyberDigest Would it help to put the controller in a segmented subnet of that controller is the UniFi dream machine?

@IntCyberDigest This is so bad lol. I mean, firstly, do NOT put your Unifi controller on anything other than a segmented subnet. Even better, you can't use apt to update this from the Debian repos anymore lol. Their repos just aren't active, have to download the .deb manually.

@thiojoe @WATCHHOLLIE You should do a trouble shooting video where you can pin point how to solve an issue like this with the logs. I have a PC that will reboot on its own when playing Apex Legends. Tried windows event log (advised by Gemini) but never figured it out
