Now that Platner has *already won the nomination* I think it would be in his interest to stop being used as a tool by factional players (no more interviews with David Sirota etc) and focus on broadly agreeable partisanship but that's the luxury of having won early.

The factional infighting draws the bulk of the clicks and eyeballs and donoations and I do not dismiss the importance of that, but *most* Democrats would like to win regardless.
