What is my opening line?
Something like:
“Just digging out of old email after long weekend…”
“Finally got to inbox zero & you were the last one…”
Or something better?
Due to the power dynamics, any request from the manager is often translated as a semi-order to the reports. If managers need a fair opinion, they need to actively level the field by explicitly requesting feedback. If the power dynamics are leveled, great teams will be built.
