OMG the interior of every 1980's Buick and Cadillac my parents ever had. My father insisted they be kept pristine and I will give you one guess who got to do that. My brother and I know how to detail a car. When a 1980 "diesel" Fleetwood landed with the dealer (not your 21st German diesel either), he thought it would be cool try. It was the required triple black, same interior but in velvet. For some reason I remember leather was not an option. It was a nightmare to keep, my mother cussed because you could not slide in. It was effectively a truck. Lilly Munster would have totally had one. The only car I remember him enthusiastically trading in, less than 18m. He had the dealer send it 3 states away, so he did not have to see it. Our cars were members of the family. Very seldom did they leave. He felt guilty for not liking it. Sorry to ramble, great memories. ;)

Never thought I'd say it, but I would prefer *this* to what Audi, Mercedes and BMW are doing with interiors now.

Congrats to our @FordMustang GTD team for setting a new record lap time around the @nuerburgring! ​ ​ With the new Mustang GTD Competition, the team shaved more than 11 seconds off our previous lap time - 6:40:835! ​ This lap was driven once again by @FordRacing and @Multimatic factory driver @muellerdirk, but Ford Racing engineer Steve Thompson also drove a lap to a time of 6:49.337 around the ring – which faster than Müller’s original record. Congrats to Dirk and Steve for showing just what the Mustang GTD Competition can do! NOTE: The Mustang GTD Competition will be offered in the future as a special edition, street legal model available in strictly limited, serialized quantities.

Everyone is posting new Nordschleife lap times today, apparently. The Mustang GTD Competition clocked 6:40.835, and the 992.1 Porsche GT3RS w/ Manthey Kit clocked 6:45.389. Obvious note, since someone will say it - These are different classes.
