JUST IN: -911,000 fewer jobs were created between April ’24 and March ’25, the BLS says. Wow, that’s a big revision. That means the labor market was weak even before the tariffs kicked in. The job market was mostly frozen in 2024, too. Average job gains before revision =147,000 per month **Average job gains AFTER revision = 71,000/month** [Note: This annual revision process is normal. The BLS does it every year. Last August, the BLS reported -818,000 fewer jobs. Yes, these are large (negative) revisions. Why? It’s mainly due to problems accounting for new/closed businesses since the pandemic.]

Don’t you find it strange how our US politicians will talk about the dangers of an Islamified UK, and they will make viral tweets and one liners about how they are happy the UK is rising up about Islam, but they won’t do the same here in the US?

Public health is a noble calling. When it is driven by transparent data and rigorous science, it earns public trust and keeps the world safe.
The beating heart of public health in America is CDC. During the previous administration, CDC lost public trust by manipulating health data to support a political narrative. The Trump administration is rebuilding trust and refocusing CDC on its core mission of keeping America safe from infectious disease. We have invested in new screening technology to detect infections from foreign travelers, stopped the Texas measles outbreak, and ended the misuse of the childhood immunization schedule for Covid vaccine mandates.
With the support of @SecKennedy, President Trump has directed me to serve as acting director of CDC, in addition to my duties as deputy secretary.
We are helping the agency earn back the trust it had squandered.
I look forward to working with CDC’s dedicated team and announcing additions to the senior leadership in the weeks ahead.

This week, I broke a story about how @JoeFrancescon was being picked as the new Deputy @NSAGov Director. He currently works at a drone technology company and worked in the first Trump admin, but his FEC records raise real questions and concerns, but it appears that once again the White House didn’t bother vetting him. Or maybe they did, which presents an even more sinister situation.
@Politico tried to steal my scoop and call it their “exclusive,” and then the NSA rushed out their press release defending Francescon. The truth is I reported this story first, and once again the media is chasing my work while the vetters have yet again dropped the ball.
Someone please explain to me why a Democrat donor has been chosen as the Deputy NSA Director?
