There’s private key extraction and AES decryption 🎉. Look @GregHuntMP - Richard @wabzqem has already written the code for generating and signing verifiable vaccine certs. All Aus gov needs to do is generate a keypair and sign the data. Please. It's cheap and it's simple and it will let us prove we've been vaccinated. #Auspol

@wabzqem Absolutely. Even if police can do it, how are retail venue operators supposed to? Also, having an app that could look up IHI numbers (rather than validate digital signatures) is a security risk in and of itself :|

How will police verify? Can they take an IHI and look up themselves? Why don't we have verifiable QR codes & checker apps? The europeans have open-sourced huge amounts of their stuff? Imagine not even putting "sharingProhibited: true" on the apple wallet pass properties.

On Monday, groups of 5 fully vacc'd will be able to gather outdoors in Syd. We don't have good certificates: - PDF can trivially be produced - In-app certificate has no protection whatsoever - Apple Wallet cert can simply be shared to friends We don't have to be so bad at this.
