Insane that the AK legislature is debating this S Corp tax that will reduce investment and production in oil and nat gas—at the very moment we need to be maximizing production and fast tracking infrastructure; the absolute last thing we need is another tax on domestic production:
The Alaska Landmine@alaskalandmine

Here’s what happening in the #akleg. The House likely has the 21 votes to concur with the Senate version of the gasline bill that includes the S Corp provision with the Jan. 1, 2028 effective date. Sources report @GovDunleavy is good with the bill with the delayed effective date. Glenfarne doesn’t seem happy about it. The Senate is on a short break now. They still need to pass the bill and send it back to the House for concurrence. The clock on this special session ends at midnight tonight. #akleg

If MLB wants to treat college baseball as their farm system they should give all players free rides actually create levels? Example: Like Power 5 -D1 = AAA Mid majors = AA D2 = high A NAIA. = high A Juco = single A D3 is Dominican rookie league?

@SenBrianJones Republicans are the worst! All they have to do to win is focus & amplify one issue: A higher standard deduction that effectively eliminates income tax for the working class But they won't bc they're part of the Fraud

This Tax Will Backfire! The proposed billionaire tax has united the business community and the medical community against it. I have said it before and I will say it again. Taxing wealth that can simply leave the state does not raise revenue. It guarantees you lose it permanently. California has already watched billionaires take hundreds of billions in wealth out the door. This measure accelerates exactly what we cannot afford. #FixCalifornia sacbee.com/news/politics-…

In MLB labor disputes of the 70s, the owners usually had the upper hand but would then make some bone-headed proposal in negotiations that made every player go "wait, what? These are just greedy assholes" and up player solidarity. I feel like the owners did that again today.

The govt/media said you had to take the vaccine for herd immunity and to prevent catching covid. I avoided both covid and the vaccine for nearly two years until societal pressures got me to finally take it. I got covid after getting jabbed within a WEEK after avoiding it for two freaking years without the jab. I've since seen many compromisations to my wellbeing, healing (at the time) of my knee cartilage went to hell, and developed seasonal allergies and an allergic reaction to stone fruits, something I never had my entire life. Don't ever let govt officials tell you or dictate what's good or not good for your wellbeing. They don't care about us, they just care about money in their pockets and will F you to get what they want.

Wow. Put Anthony Fauci in GITMO for crimes against humanity. This guy funded gains of functions research and lied about its origins. COVID did immeasurable damage around the world and Fauci's mad scientist research is responsible. Thank you, Tulsi. The covid/vaccine situation compromised countless lives both in health and in livelihood. It hurt my thriving small business when the world was unnecessarily shut down, and my health hasn't been the same since the God forsaken vaccine was taken, which the people of govt and media propaganda also completely lied about. They shamed you into submission and compromised your reputation if you spoke against the lies of Fauci and all involved, both about covid and the experimental jabs. A lot of people need to be in prison for what went down, but start with Fauci!!
DNI Tulsi Gabbard@DNIGabbard

Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth. odni.gov/index.php/news…

I'm very surprised the owners' made these proposals to changing the draft and instituting an international draft. Most fans were on the owners side when it came to a cap, but most fans can see this proposal would be bad for the game and is purely a money grab by the owners.

With the MLB proposal today here’s a thought and just mine and only mine. 50 rounds, after the 25 round the picks from 26-50 go to independent teams across the USA. MLB teams keep rookie ball, AA and AAA. This is where they pull their fruit to the Bigs. The independent teams run

The 49ers’ roster is constructed around several A-list foundational players — actually the most they’ve had under this regime. Surrounding those pillars, the 49ers have: 🏈 3rd-youngest defense (very intentional development past 2 years) 🏈 Oldest offense (but already under a major speed renovation this offseason) There’s clear purpose here; the defense hasn’t been top-5 since 2022 so big turnover outside the Bosa/Warner/Lenoir core was mandatory. The offense, meanwhile, has remained very effective despite its perimeter speed shortcomings. The 49ers have striven to address those this offseason while the offensive renovation will naturally evolve the next few years as players age out. Any appraisal ignoring these nuances is too simplistic. Most importantly, the 49ers have a premium piece at the most important position

This is…not unexpected. Look, I do think there are serious, legitimate concerns that teams have, and I do think that young players are taken advantage of. But also, a change like this would completely change how the industry in the DR and Venezuela currently work.
Jeff Passan@JeffPassan

The league’s proposal on domestic amateurs, first reported by @jjcoop36, reflects a changing landscape in college sports with players receiving high-six-figure NIL sums. Also pertinent: @Alden_Gonzalez’s scoop on the MLB's international draft proposal: espn.com/mlb/story/_/id…

Lacob’s Warriors have traded exactly *one* 1st in *13* years that had a legit risk to be a good pick: The lightly protected 1st to dump Iguodala to MEM. The ‘25 1st for Jimmy Butler was unlikely to be a high pick. Every other has been Top 20-protected or drafted onto the roster.
Chef@CurryForGame

Mike Dunleavy Jr. on trading future picks👍 "I think we need to be careful about it, as we have already in the last however many of years, but we have shown a willingness to do it, whether acquiring Jimmy, doing the thing with Iguodala. So we'll trade our picks if it makes sense, but I think as always, you have to be careful."

This would likely cut the international complex leagues and one minor league level (probably Low-A), severely cut total amateur signing bonuses, and reduce the overall talent pool/level for baseball. But it would save the owners a LOT of money.
Jeff Passan@JeffPassan

MLB today proposed an overhauled domestic amateur-entry system that removes high school players from the draft, makes college players eligible after sophomore year, shortens the draft from 20 to 12 rounds, and cuts bonus pool from current $358.7M to $200M, sources tell ESPN.

Vitamin D is a steroid hormone wearing the wrong label. What it actually does: - Made in your skin from cholesterol when sunlight hits it - Switched on by the liver and kidneys - Then runs gene expression in nearly every tissue you own It got filed under 'vitamin' because we discovered it studying deficiency in people who never saw the sun. The name stuck. Modern life is almost perfectly built to suppress it: - Seed oils instead of animal fat - Factor 30 to walk to the car - Days spent under strip lighting You make it from two cheap, ancient things. Cholesterol, which means eating fat. Sunlight, which means going outside. We have managed to pathologise both.
