@KernelHappy @MrColionNoir It’s not, frankly… however… why is a major sports star feel the need to drive around Houston with a gun in plain sight? If you’re carrying it? It’s in a holster… not just sitting on the front seat, in plain view… 🤷🏼‍♂️

@praq1966 @MrColionNoir Because there's no reason to ask. If he was brandishing or threatening with it, he'd have been charged 2A is not a lesser right. We don't ask why someone has a megaphone on their passenger seat because they may say something hurtful with it, why is 2a supposed to be different?

James Harden got arrested in Houston because his gun was allegedly sitting in his car without a holster. In Texas. A constitutional carry state. Same gun. Same car. Same person. But if it’s in a holster, he drives home. If it’s sitting bare on the seat, he gets booked. That’s the kind of technicality that turns a law-abiding person into a criminal overnight. And here’s the part nobody wants to answer: Does a holster actually make him safer? Or does it just give the government one more box to check before they cuff you? Because the criminals carjacking people at 3 AM in Houston are not worried about holster laws. The only people these laws usually trap are the ones trying to follow the law in the first place. So be honest… Should James Harden have been arrested over this? Or is Texas pretending to be pro-2A while still letting tiny technicalities chip away at your rights? Drop your answer below. @praq1966 @MrColionNoir Dude I kept one under a towel on the passenger seat of my car when I was driving back from dropping someone off at the airport in an unfamiliar city.

@praq1966 @MrColionNoir Before the law went into effect, I used to keep my EDC on the seat, or on the console, without a holster, all the time. Why is this silly law even in effect? There is no safety reason for this!

@touchhgrass @MrColionNoir Nobody is saying you can’t have it… in the car, on you, whatever… that’s really not the question I asked, either… 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Texan6851 @MrColionNoir Different approaches for different people, I guess… I keep mine in the console, but that’s just me… I’ve lived all over and have never needed it, though…🤷🏼‍♂️

@praq1966 @MrColionNoir So that it's in reach if he needs it? What kind of question is that? Mine stays on the seat beside me as well, first I've heard about this "holster law"

🧵1/ Are you willing to pay more for products made in the USA? I know I am. The problem is that after decades of declining American manufacturing, many industries simply don’t offer American-made alternatives anymore.

My revised list of five essential firearms, and why each earns a place: 1. .22 Long Rifle The perfect firearm for training new shooters to the sport. Ammunition is inexpensive, recoil is non-existent, and it's an excellent survival tool for hunting small game. 2. Handgun (9mm, .45 ACP, .380 ACP, or your preferred caliber) The most practical defensive firearm. Suitable for home defense, concealed carry, vehicle carry, and everyday personal protection. 3. 12-Gauge Shotgun Ideally with interchangeable barrels; one smoothbore for shot and one rifled for slugs. Extremely versatile, capable of handling home defense, bird hunting, and even large game hunting when equipped with the rifled barrel. 4. .223/5.56 Semi-Automatic Rifle One of the most versatile rifles available. Effective for home defense, predator and varmint control, recreational shooting, training, and general-purpose use. Plus, it looks cool and you can mount a flashlight, laser pointer, or a confetti cannon to it. 5. Bolt-Action Hunting Rifle The king of long-range accuracy and large-game hunting. Whether chambered in .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, or another suitable cartridge, a quality bolt gun excels at marksmanship and provides reach and power beyond what the other firearms on this list offer. Together, these five firearms cover nearly every common sporting, hunting, training, and defensive role a typical American shooter is likely to encounter.
Brigham's Burner@FiredUpCoug

These are, in my opinion, the 4 essential guns every American should own: 1) .22 long rifle 2) 9mm handgun 3) 12 gauge shotgun 4) .223 semi-automatic rifle Agree or disagree?

A fact few Europeans know: Roughly 90% of all American firearms have been tragically lost in boating accidents.

@thequeenofrust @TraditionSarah Most older, straight, white men get told all the time what is wrong with them. We rarely, if at all, get a compliment. We are so used to it that actually getting a compliment catches us completely off guard… 🤷‍♂️

You gals should compliment men more, it’s the funnest thing. I told an older gentleman at the grocery story this morning I loved his shirt (it had a big ol bass fish on it and was a cool shirt). The way he lit up was the best part. Men deserve compliments.

@ChefGruel It’s actually quite gross how they handle food… but people eat them… I, personally, won’t touch them… I have them same issue with “food trucks”… won’t touch ‘em… brick/mortar or nothing… I don’t care how “good” their food is… 🤷🏼‍♂️

My issue isn’t with the questionable food safety habits, it’s up to the customer to decide if they want to take this risk. My issue is with the uneven playing field for brick and mortars. They would be shutdown asap for this, fined and publicly shamed. A street vendor, however, gets to operate completely under the table.
Miss Jilianne@MissJilianne

They turned off comments so I’ll post this street vendor on Hollywood Boulevard touching cash, touching food containers, and not refrigerating raw bacon. Hey @lapublichealth, do they have a permit? Do they have the required food handler certificate like you require brick and mortar restaurants to have?
